Umm I don't think its a reach. It's been 7 years since a regular season MVP has won the title. The last time it happened was 2003....7 years. Umm I do see a trend.

I don't think it's that big of a reach either. 7 years is a long time, especially since the NBA MVP usually goes to the best player on the best regular season team.
