I have no interest in "gender verification" to "prove" to some of you that this is user who she claims to be. Lots of users in this thread lie about their lives. (Posting daddy's car keys, for example.)
What does concern me is the prospect of the he man woman haters club creating a culture that systematically harasses and drives off any female who posts to our forums. That sort of behavior is worse than trolling.
NikeTalk has always tried to maintain an inclusive community environment. If you're going to make it harder for us to do that, I have no problem excluding you.

Ignoring a thread you consider a troll attempt does no harm to the community. Responding to any and all self-identified female posters with some ill conceived witch hunt or outright harassment (pics? etc.) IS harmful to the community and will not be tolerated.

It's counterproductive any way you slice it.
Worst case scenario, any time someone identifies as female there's a group of users who treat that admission as blood in the water. "Ohh it has to be a troll." "Or maybe it's a REAL woman and I can beg for NOOODZ!" That type of behavior will pretty much guarantee that this community consists almost exclusively of frustrated adolescent boys. NikeTalk isn't a child's pillow fort. Any behavior that makes the site less welcoming for women is not acceptable. End of story.
Have there been attempts by especially lonely and pitiful forum trolls to create "female persona" accounts? Yes, but to say that even one such account is produced in a given year would be an exaggeration.
What do trolls crave more than anything? Attention. So, what happens when you turn their every appearance into a big public spectacle? Are you encouraging the troll or discouraging them?
Right.
Control what you can control. If a troll does something mean-spirited, the worst thing you can do is respond in kind. At that point, you've not only allowed them to succeed in garnering your attention, but, what's worse, you've allowed them to alter your behavior as well. Don't make their misery contagious.
If someone starts a thread you don't like and you ignore it, you can move on to the thousands of other forum topics, they're left discouraged, and they'll eventually find another target. If someone starts a thread you don't like and you attack them, you are URGING them to continue posting - if only in their own defense.
If there's even a chance that this user's posts are legitimate - and that chance most certainly exists - then how are we to evaluate everyone's behavior here?
What's a bigger potential problem? One failed troll, or a dozen members who successfully chase away any and all female users?
If you think kelly's posts are legit and you feel like responding to them, go for it. If you don't, just ignore them. Turning them into a cesspool is pretty much the worst outcome for everyone.

most of the girls ive gone out with from online sites are for fun...fun to grab drinks with, hangout at beach, etc.
