So I'm probably going to have my girl buy me one for XMas. What brands are better? TomTom?Garmin?Magellan?Something not too expensive. Thanks..

I haven't had much experience with other brands, but my Garmin is solid. Be sure to get a widescreen, the little extra size makes a difference. I thinkmine's a 255w, they're not that expensive. I think now you can get the ones that have traffic avoidance built-in for life, with no fees. They justhave a "t" at the end of the model.
