NB Two WXY V5

I know there’s an official NB thread but that one feels more geared towards their lifestyle models… never really see anything posted about their bball lines (except in the Kawhi thread). Anyhow mods feel free to delete this one if necessary but just wanted to give some love to one of the most underrated lines out there… the Two WXY line

Not my pic but I saw on Reddit that the V5’s are already out…

I like this colorway, and the midsole setup kinda gives me KD7 vibes. Nothing on the NB website just yet, but the V3/4 were pretty solid on court so I’ll probably be picking up a pair eventually.

Yeah, I like the look of these - I have wide feet and NB are one of the few brands who make properly wide basketball shoes (you can get some KD models in a wide fit, but they're really just a higher volume on the same midsole which doesn't do anything for me). I have the older OMN1S which are pretty good - but they only came in red and pink - the colors of these are much better.

They also come in triple black which I'm thinking of getting for my ref gear - currently wearing Monarchs but I thought those would be ideal.

The only thing that puts me off a little is that I had Fresh Foam running shoes a few years ago and they felt sort of unstable - so much that I got really sore knees just wearing them at work. These are different in that the foam is just under the heel and forefoot so hopefully don't have that problem - wouldn't make sense for a basketball shoe to not have good lateral support too. Running shoes aren't really designed for anything other than straight lines.
