Once you get into the cycle of playing on 1-year, "prove it" deals, that becomes the norm. If he takes a one-year deal again, he'll be an injury prone 30 year old, 270 lb bigman hitting free agency again. At some point he just needs to cash out

Some people like to watch the same teams dominate and others don't. Obviously if you're a Warriors fan you love this stuff. the Warriors just aren't fun to watch for me and for many other NBA fans at the stage.

Like I mentioned, they sleepwalk through most of the regular season and even early rounds of the playoffs because of their huge talent disparity. I'm not a hater, I just want to see something different.

Like I said this stuff is common in the nba. Celtics and Lakers have a combined 33 championships. My fandom has nothing to do with what I said.

I am enjoying this after watching awful basketball my whole life. Pointing out fact.

Yeah, he's screwed regardless but waiting another year will only make things worse IMO.

I remember when Boogie thought he was doing it by taking that $5M deal with Golden State. Thought it was a big "**** you" to the league.

He really thought he was styling on the league. It was a good idea in theory. Go to a lower pressure situation on a team where you can rehab until March, and win a title. Boogie went from super max eligible to taking the MLE. Sad situation.

It's just not fun to watch the same loaded team steamroll through the playoffs year after year. They have such a large talent gap over the rest of the league that it's not fun anymore.

The first year with Kevin Durant was interesting because we didn't know what to expect and we didn't know how KD would change the dynamic of the team but since then it's been boring.

On top of that, they've been sleepwalking through the last couple of regular seasons and even first round of the playoffs because they know they can turn it on whenever they want. Who wants to watch a teeam give half effort for most of the season?

If you're a Warriors fan I totally get it, I would want to watch my team dominate forever but as a general fan of the NBA it's not fun or compelling to watch.

I agree, felt the same way about 90s bulls and 2000s lakers. At the same time, folk are too damn inconsistent with their narratives with the warriors. From game to game, they’re either an unfair collection of talent OR steph’s overrated, dray’s overrated, klay’s one dimensional and KD is carrying a bunch of scrubs

Good question. I don't think IT was ever gonna be maxed. Boogie if he stayed healthy would have, 100%. Boogie can still make money if he comes back healthy, but it seems like IT is one foot out the league. Probably IT.

If you read the stories, the Lakers didn't offer him a contract of any kinda last summer. I doubt they'd max him after getting re-injured but who knows. the Lakers are in shambles as an organization

Frustrating I’m sure, but Toronto still hasn’t figured how to generate offense outside of Kawhi. 89, 95, 101 since G1.

Getting another one in Toronto is very possible.

I could see us winning in 6 still and Embiid having a big bounceback game. Gasol played 40 minutes yesterday and his body is already shot. Embiid is gonna have a chance to take advantage of that if he doesn’t come into tomorrow with another “sickness”

Honestly, we'll never know for sure. Boogie caught alot of flak for signing w/ the Warriors and then he came out and said that no other team offered him anything. Then there were reports that the Pelicans offered him 2/$40m but he turned it down and see what happened in FA.
