LOL.

I can guaruntee that if Bron does leave, those New York teams won't be any better than what the Cavs had the past two years as far as wins go. This year as well, gawk at their roster all you want, they get Ws.

Regular season wins and accolades don't mean %!$%. Mo #*#$## Williams was an All-Star... Mo Williams. Mo. Williams. Sure, it took injuries to literallyevery starting guard in the East for this worthless pile of dog %!$% to get in, but still.

Just look at the Mavs a few years ago. All those wins...

You get Bron, you don't have to have the team built in just 2010. You now have time (since he's signing a long term deal) to build around him untilthey reach the goal.

It's not going to be NewYork Knicks, 2010 NBA champions. It'll be 2011 and beyond they are building towards.

bottom line is the knicks have options, a lot of them. a combo of bosh/amare and jj is that bad? really?

and as a knick fan, i think i could live with anything surronding bron. he can go pick up 4 guys at the nt hoop summits in ny and field a playoff team inthe east.

Yeah, W's in the regular season don't mean anything, but you can't say the Cavs haven't been successful. They've made it to the Finalsalready.

Last year, they ran into the Magic and couldn't get around them, and they are now looked down upon because they were title contenders.

But they CLEANED UP the East in the Post-season until they got to the Magic.

This is probably one of my arguments where not many will agree, but I think that LeBron has one of the best groups around him that he will make better. I meansure you could have another all-star or two on that team, but that team is still very well put together.

Amare/Bosh and JJ with a cast of scrubs is going as far as JJ and the Hawks and Bosh and the Raptors are going.

Do the Knicks have their pick in 2010? I know it's a long-term thing, and 2010 would be just the beginning, but I just hate the idea of scrapping yourentire team trying to get just ONE or TWO great players.

I'd rather do what other teams do, get rid of bad contracts, make good deals, but keep good players around. Build for the future, have a foundation.

Basically.

Also, take into the fact of the team meshing well if they do get Lebron. They will then add a bunch of players who have never played together and D'Antoniwill be expected to mesh them altogether within' a couple of years. Their PG spot will be just as important as getting Lebron. If they plan on keepingD'Antoni, they will need a PG who knows how to run the show.

Build like the Spurs and Jazz. It would take time, but at least you will have a finished product for year's. If the Knicks got Lebron, could you imaginewhat would happen if they missed the playoffs the following season? NY would eat him alive (nh).

i dont get why our rookies keep getting looked down upon.
sure, they're not on some KD steez, but i mean they can make an slash and spot up shoot, defend and block, etc.
and no thanks on amare/jj. no freakin thanks.
ive said it once, but ill say it again. i rather have bosh+wade then lebron, but thats just me.
edit: walsh isnt scrapping anything. almost all our contracts end before 2010, with the exception of chandler/gallo/hill, and add a few names i put up there, thats already a playoff contending team.
and who the hell needs a PG with lebron on the team. look at mo williams. kids a freaking bum wasting cap space.

wait when did you get room to give two max contracts. Dont you still have Curry and Jeffries? you aint getting rid of either of those worthlesspieces of crap

you didn't get enough crow last fall/winter in regards to zbo, scottsauce?

According to multiple sources, Eddy Curry has lost another 10 pounds since the Knicks last saw him in Las Vegas last month.

As of Tuesday, Curry is said to be at about 318 pounds, which is near his ideal weight

How you gonna say the regular season wins "dont mean %##*" when your playing 82 games for a reason. It determines where your positionedin the playoffs and who you play against. You mean to tell me, if a number 8th seed were to win it all, you would NOT look back on their record and say.'this team won the least amount of games??'.

You sound real unintelligent right now, very unexperianced and/or young.

And wait to see what guys like Gallinari and Hill will do before acting like they will automatically be good contributors on the team. What the hell isgoing on with David Lee and Nate Robinson right now? I know Lee is asking for alot of money, but if NY could just re-sign both players and add Lebron, theywould be in a MUCH better situation than they would without those two depending on how much cap space they would have after re-signing those two.

If NY could add Sessions, re-sign Lee and Nate and still be able to get Lebron, they would be working with something. They can always sign veterans for theminimum to come play in NY.

Well maybe they aren't exactly SCRAPPING the team, but they definitely aren't building any pieces for the future.

They could have locked up David Lee when he was a bit cheaper.

Looking at the past rosters (since 05), here are guys they could have kept around: Trevor Ariza, Matt Barnes, David Lee, Nate Robinson, and Wilson Chandler(who they still own).

All of these guys are pieces to what could be a good team, and their unwillingness to commit to a player worries me. (Maybe it's the other way around, butif a player can't commit to a team, you're doing something wrong).

I see and understand the approach, I just don't agree with it.

Just the idea of not having any contracts (outside of Jordan Hill, Wilson Chandler, and Danillo) and trying to fill out the rest of your roster with guys andthen trying ot sign a max-player, I don't like the idea.

If said player really wants to go win a ring, they can look for a deal like Dallas' with Dampier, get paid, and go and try to win a ring.

I don't know... If I'm LeBron I would've hit up the man and tell him to build a team and show him why he should go to New York...

I had to sneak it in there.

The thought of Dampier out of Dallas has me thrilled.

(In all seriousness, he isn't a bad back-up to play some defense once your starter gets in foul trouble, but not at 12 million a year...

).

Ehhhhh, yeah those Cats jerseys look like variant Magic jerseys.

so what is walsh supposed to do, overpay for lee and nate?

lock lee up when he was cheaper? walsh has only been on the job for a year.

scottsauce, nobody said curry was getin moved last year. you were adamant about none being moved, ever.

Having the duo of Amare and JJ is a waste of life Allen.
laugh.gif

Tell me what those 2 is gonna win anytime soon. Not a damn thing, thas what.

Get Amare, and Bosh, and JJ, maybe I'll isten to ya, but that ain't happenin so forget it.

Like I said, Bron or nothin, all in poker style. Even Wade wouldn't make the splash you need. It's better then nothing, sure, but the whole point isto get the guy that will bring in other players just by bein on the team. I don't think Wade has that clout, not while Bron is still in the league.

If they lose out on Bron, CP3 is the next guy in life that needs to be pursured like the Bron sweepstakes.

JA, you said to push you on the first page updates, you gon get to my post from yesterday?????

I see you got Nash

How bout Roy, Baby Davis, Kleiza, and a final number on Marvin????
