NCAA scholarship question

With Kentucky having 16 players committed that are on scholarship and they are only legally allowed to have 13 players, how will they go about getting rid of 3scholarship players?

3 of those 16 will have to pay for their Kentucky education.

Scholarships are renewed annually so either those 3 players will become walk-ons or transfer. St. John's does this all the time. Like every year. For worseplayers.

Ya the players only get scholarships one year at a time, so the coach can pull at any time during the 4 years.
