Need a good read within 30 min

im heading over to the local barns and noble bookstore. im planning on buying The Alchemist 

that was in another thread. 
Anyother good reads, and by good i mean really good. post a book and a brief summary of what its about please.

The Kite Runner, i'm too lazy to post a summary but I will say the book is a great read.
