trying to build a studio in tha crib, closet foam please, what is the best kind for price , which do i actually need ( i know there is different foams, and howgood does mattress foam work compared to sound.

It depends on the room dimensions and what you are recording, if all you are recording is vocals in tiny @#$ booth then commercial foam acoustics are a wasteof money since there are cheaper alternatives, but if you got money to blow go for it. So is this for vocals? you don't need to cover every wall andnothing needs to be covered entirely. If you're gonna spend money make sure you get foam for the corners (for low ends). Also is the floor carpet? If not Irecommend doing the ceiling. As far as brands I'm unsure, I've never come across some $5 no brand made in china stuff though so that shouldn't bemuch of a factor) but check the thickness, don't want it too thin. Ebay is the answer as far as price
