I just got a Boxee Box for my HDTV and was considering Netflix. At this point though, I really just want to watch everything in HD (720p or higher) so I was wondering, is Netflix worth it with what the movies/shows they offer in HD? I can't seem to find or access their HD listings so I figure I'd ask NTers with experience on the matter.
Also, how fast or often do the new movies come up on Netflix? When the movie releases on Bluray, does it become available to be watched with Netflix right away? I know some shows have delays and everything but I am not sure about how it works with movies.

Any help or opinions are appreciated.

Does all/most shows on hulu+ come in HD?
Also, do they have old shows like Fresh Prince, Boy Meets World, etc... as well?

That sucks, I would have gladly paid to have access to all those shows I grew up watching.

It's absolutely worth it dude, and LOTS of the shows/movies on there are in HD. Your entertainment life will be significantly improved.

For example... In my Puerto Rico thread, A poster suggested I watch the Anthony Bourdain episode on PR... Fired up the netflix and it was right there... In HD.

Get Netflix... You won't regret it.

i've been watching a lot of anthony bourdain as of late.  not blu-ray quality, but def a lot better than SD.  within the last two months, i've finished spartacus seasons 1 & 2, louie season 1, blue mountain state seasons 1 & 2 + other random tv shows.  all were decent quality (good considering it's streaming).

Thanks for all the advice, looks like they have a 1-month free trial so I'll give it a shot.

When it is on SD format, is it upconverted though?

Hey OP how's your boxee box? Was it worth it? I'm still debating on getting that or a Roku XD|S

So far, I am loving. I have some downloaded movies and I hated streaming it on my PS3 because it lags and it only plays certain formats so I had to convert them first, the Boxee Box seems to play almost all formats. I figure other media players could do the same but that was the main reason. I did watch Wrestlemania from some free stream last night on my HDTV via Boxee, quality wasn't high but it was much better than expected from a non-hd stream.

The remote is cool too, on the back side there is a qwerty so searching or typing is easier, what sucks is that it is almost impossible to see but I just connect my iphone as a Boxee remote if needed. I'm no media player expert but I am loving mine and the whole shape design of the hardware is awesome.
