Well with a lot of upsets on rivalry weekend the BCS bowl picture may have come more into focus. The biggest winner of the weekend was probably Boise Statewho with OKST's loss to the Sooners will probably get a BCS berth along with TCU unless they decide to pick a 2-loss Iowa team over them, which reallywould have no justification for doing so.

Championship weekend features some huge games starting off Thurs. with the Ducks and Beavers for the Pac-10 title, continuing with Pitt and Cincy for theBig East title and culminating with the showdown in Atlanta that may very well blow the roof off of the GA Dome when the Gators and Bama clash. If somehowNebraska beats Texas, this could be the most exciting weekend for college football in a long time.

Say Pitt beats Cincinnati... Does the BCS take a one-loss Cincinnati over a second mid-major?

Big east has a bcs auto bid, no? so Theres no choice.

Looks like LSU to the Cotton Bowl and Tennessee to the Outback Bowl.

I hope we get these bcs bowl scenarios: TCU vs Cinci (if they beat Pitt) in the Orange Bowl

Boise vs UF/Bama Loser

so when Cincy beats Pitt..

we're going to have a team from a "BCS Conference" go undefeated and not get a chance to play for a national title.

Cool.

Yep unless ACC champ goes to the title game. So we're looking at Pitt/Cincy vs. GT/Clem

Yea allen that has already happened

You wouldn't rather see TCU against the SEC loser?

Florida/Bama vs. Texas
Oregon/Oregon State vs. Ohio State
TCU vs. Bama/Florida
Clemson/Georgia Tech vs. Cincy/Pitt?
Boise vs. Cincy if they lose or what?

Big 12 and ACC aren't getting two bids. Doubt the Pac 10 will, either... If Cincy beats Pitt the Big East won't... So who gets the last spot? Iowa?Oregon State? Penn State?

i know, and it's absurd that didn't change anything and it will be absurd this doesn't change anything, either.

It's a joke.

Yup. and I hope its complete chaos. Cus tcu/cinci winner will have argument to be very least Co-champs.

Cinci better win out too

I want the 4 potentially undefeated teams to play eachother.
We need that to happen, so all hell breaks lose after the season

Yeah, I feel you...

When was the last time we went into Bowl season with 5 teams undefeated?

Went back and checked... 2004, the last time we had this kinda mess on our hands....

some reason i want the same thing to happen.

it makes me sick that teams like Stanford and Clemson can still be ranked with 4 losses but a team thats 10-2 and undefeated in conference play can only get 14votes

You haven't been paying attention to these threads the last few weeks. I know that they will walk into a BCS game

but Harold Miner keeps saying how Kellen Moore is Heisman worthy and how theyhave the best receivers in the nation.

Big East would have gotten 2 bids had Pitt beat West Va. There's no way you turn away two one loss BCS conference teams for a mid major. Pac10? Hell no nor will the ACC.

You wishing for a cluster !@%#?
I'm with him on this one. Which is why I was hoping that Auburn, A&M or FSU had pulled the upset.

Central Michigan got blasted by Arizona and Boston College...

Probably. But they did lose to WVU so that's irrelevant...

I'm pretty sure if Cincy wins they're going to the Sugar Bowl vs. the SEC loser from the bowl projections I've seen.

So with 10 spots we only have 5 that are absolutely locked up:

Winner and loser of Bama and UF, TCU, Ohio St, winner of Oregon/Oregon St.

Now what would really throw a monkey wrench into the entire thing is if Nebraska beats Texas...you know for sure one of the bowls would then take the 1-lossLonghorns, possibly the Sugar vs the SEC champ loser

since the Fiesta would take the Big XII champ (Nebraska if the win).

And then who goes to the title game? If Cincy beats Pitt I don't think they can be left out cause they've played more ranked teams than TCU, but TCUhas destroyed everyone on their schedule and is ahead of Cincy right now in the BCS so it'd be interesting to see.

Have a 4 team playoff each year..

Rotate the bowl sites that host the 2 playoffs games...have a championship game the following week or in 2 weeks..

that too complicated?
