New Car Issue.

They're not gonna replace all 4. Least they can do get one from ebay. They have several single rim listings

Replace one and keep 3 that are messed up? Nah

If I'm OP I'm cancelling the sale. They're trying to present something to you that looks drastically different than how you bought it. And their solution was to paint the rims

So the owner refused to buy the new wheels. I was very stern and it got heated for a while. He Insists on refinishing the messed up ones. Should I take it to small claims court?

mjhead23 mjhead23 I'm curious as to why exactly the lot owner thinks refinishing those wheels is going to be cheaper than replacing them. A body shop is going to have to sand that 'ish, prime it then repaint it and clear it. That's a helluva lot of effort for some 16" OEM Chevy wheels and most body shops won't even take the job.

I'm honestly starting to think that the same bozo who damaged the wheels is going to be asked to Plasti-dip those wheels now... He'll most likely mess up your tires and body with overspray.:sick::sick:

Can you ask the owner to source you similar, used wheels or swap them from another Chevy on his lot? That bolt pattern, offset and wheel size is extremely common.

Probably because they going to call someone who works out their van painting cars and do it the super cheap way lol

Getting A Wheel Refinished Is Different From Getting The Wheels Painted. Let Them Get the Wheels Refinished & Keep It Moving, It’s An Over Night Process So You Wont Be Out Of A Car For An Extended Period Of Time.

Refinished rims. Took them about a week and a half, but they look brand new. Glad to be done dealing with them.
