Wassup Everybody, just want to come on here and save people time because what I just went through with Ebay. This past week I made a listing, but because of policies I can't say what I was selling. In the listing I placed "Nike Air Jordan ......etc."

Because I placed Nike right next to Jordan Ebay decided that it was a conflict of interest because it is 2 brands. I talked to them for about half an hour as to why people place these two names together.

Yes I was frustrated but there is nothing that I can do about it. Its their "NEW" policy.

I then asked well why do I get hundreds of pages when I search "Nike Air Jordan". The gentleman's words were, "We have a team of SPECIALIST that are going through those items".

Then I asked, "Are you going to be canceling all those items?"

Then he replied with, "Yes".

I have a hard time believing all of this but I just want to let people know on this forum about this absurdness. I am pissed off about it but what can we do.

I hope you all benefit from this because it is frustrating. Thanks yall, have a blessed day!

Its pretty dumb since one is a subsidiary of another which means they are part of the same company....

Another reason i rarely mess with fleabay

I'm all for that personally. Maybe they'll get rid of the ads that read "Nike Air Jordan sz 11 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 Concord Cement IV V XI" and always pop up in every search you do too.

Once eBay took down my post & limited my account a couple years back questioning authenticity of shoes, when I had 100% seller feedback and over 50 sells I never bothered to log in again.

lol

As if people saying 'Nike Air Jordan' is the biggest of their keyword spam worries.

eBay collected $3.4 BILLION in revenue last quarter and they're worried about "Nike Air Jordan" in searches? When they started charging fees on shipping costs put me at the edge, but now its just ridiculous.....sigh....

They're in cahoots with all the retailers and powersellers so eBay is here with no competition.

If google took google wallet into it's own...say..."Gbay" then eBay would fold.

I got limited because I was selling "too many Jordan Concords" and they wanted my suppliers info and business license, etc. I haven't sold on there since.

Man this reminds me to do my letter to Paypal asking them to allow me to have the opportunity to sue them if the time comes in the future.

Even if you could sue, you probably couldn't win. They'd spend truckloads of $ on an arsenal of Harvard-trained lawyers and delay trial until you run out of money and either drop the suit or settle, just because they can. Tabloids do this all the time, which is why they print what they want essentially.

i used to live near Reno, Nevada, and there is an ebay-rented warehouse up there full of ebay employees that are full of products - anything you could imagine. i don't think ebay is in cahoots with the retailers or powersellers - i think they are their own retailers and powersellers.

They just want a way to rape people for even more bread.  Make you pay extra for that subheading if you want more keywords.

They even threaten to charge you fees now for ending an auction early.  Greedy as F.  Charge you 9% (including getting you for some of your shipping) and they still aren't satisfied.

That's why I continuously find loopholes around buying/selling through them.  I'd rather help the buyer/seller than to pay them even more.

On top of that all, they've removed the option to cancel a transaction so even when a seller claims they don't have the item anymore, the buyer has to wait to get a strike, call them, and have them manually remove that strike.  They're becoming ridiculous.

20 pairs. had a buy it now auction with a FSR then the doubles on a second. They all sold then got hit with that EMAIL safe harbor non-sense. had to refund all my buyers because I was no longer protected.

And to boot..they still tried to get me to pay FVF's on all of em. yeah..no.

So 10 pairs on each account? I can't believe they tried to get you with the FVF + asking you for supplier info and etc. :{ I know of someone who was able to pick up 10-15 CG's and sold all of them the same day. :{

I Feel that, I'm leaning towards not using but we will see what happens

actually, this happened to me years ago with the anniversay XIs i posted.
said the same thing to me.

Sad thing is, they posted some sort of Compliance Strike on my profile page which rubbed me wrong.

I agree. Those are annoying especially when the auction is for a beat pair of Reeboks or Fusions, lol. My only problem with Ebay/Paypal are the high fees. Then again I'm not really a high volume seller.
