New Year's Eve in the SF, what to do?

Ive never been in the city on New Years Eve.

What do yall have planned?

-clubs, w/cover charge, dresscode, 21 and up preferably
-parties
-bars
-places to meet and countdown?

I usually go to Fam parties, but everyone has there own thing goin on now.

it's gonna be packed. if you do go downtown, i recomend you taking BART. driving there is crazy.
you usually buy a ticket online to party at a club, real expensive. i would go to a bar instead or lounge if they aren't charging much.
embarcadero is the place to be if you want to be outside with some friends drinking and enjoying the scenario.

i'm hitting a house party in the mission. have no idea how that's going to turn out. probably going to end up back in my neighborhood with a bottle of jameson and a box of fireworks.

i know you gotta buy tickets for a lot of the clubs/events for tonight. i went to a 90s party last year, and it was pretty crackin and worth the price of admission. i've done embarcadero a few times too and it was a good time. check out sfgate.com , they got a pretty good list of the major things going down tonight.
