Can't wait until the details leak that Sony is doing the same exact thing plus charging for $30 base online and $100 for Gaikai streaming . MS just decided to take the bullet first. This console generation will forever be known as the one that MS, Sony, and devs took total control from the consumer .

Why can't you wait till Sony does the same? Would you like that to happen?
We already know the console won't be offline. All that is left to confirm is their DRM policy.

Ofcourse it is . Just like everything that was said about the Xbone was a rumor until Microsoft came out with that press release , didn't stop you and others from taking everything negative you heard about the XBone and running with it . No matter how you slice it Sony staying quiet as hell through all this is not good at all . I have a feeling a lot of us will be equally disappointed with them come Monday evening . Video games as we know it since its existence has died this generation thanks to EA, Activision, MS, and Sony.

How was it a rumour when it was MS execs who were answering these questions then backtracked and gave us a slightly modified version of the same answers they gave before.
Yes, there were rumours before the XBone reveal but look how many came true. We didn't hear these rumours for Sony so they hardly got asked those questions. It's wasn't until the Xbone reveal that everyone wants to hear Sony's thoughts, but with it so close to E3 why not just answer it there.

This is not to say Sony won't have something similar but at least toss Sony into that pile once/if it's confirmed on Monday. We all waited for MS to get the words straight after the initial mess and now they have. Lets see what Sony does.

i mean M$ and sony could just say no and refuse to let that happen especially if it hurts sales. i mean if a publisher gets mad and doesnt want to make a game for the company that refuses to let them implement it they will STILL lose money either way. i think this is just a test to see what happens and how the gaming market takes it. if we refuse to buy then everything will stay the same if we buy anyway then stricter rules will be in place

True. Ive still stuck with the theory that this whole thing was a huge focus group exercise. They threw out all kinds of ideas to see what people was going to ***** about the most. Then when the final product comes out it will have some of the stuff. But they will take some stuff back out so people will just give it the "Well I guess its not SO bad" and it looks like that happened.

People *****ed the most about the used games thing so it back tracked to "If the Dev wants to do this" and the whole always connected to the internet back tracked to "well its once a day" 

Theres people that are always going to complain so there is nothing they can really do about that. But like me and prolly a bunch of other people. This isnt a huge deal. The sketchy thing is still the Kinect always being on. But if im really that sketched out about it. I will just point it to the ceiling or just unplug it when my xbox isnt on. Also not really a big deal, just a slight inconvenience.

that looks like an xbox arcade game if anything. The studio is owned by microsoft, but I doubt that would be a $60 game. Probably $20 or so

I'm definitely a pro Sony guy but what' the problem with that game lol? People didn't really think all 15 exclusives Ms talked about would be big budget retail games did yall? XBL Arcade/PSN had some of the best games last gen. Might be 3-4 big games in those exclusives. Rest will be Kinect/XBL small budget games

Regarding the always on internet - Why can't Xbox One just use Sony's cat/mouse firmware update approach?

I know it killed the Sony piracy community for a while. And for the would-be pirates, its either they suck it up and buy new games or be a few years behind on videogames because they've been waiting for the hack to counter Sony's.

And regarding the Sharing your games with 10 family members: Does it mean I can get Fifa 14 and my 10 friends can play it. Then my other friends gets COD12 and we all get to play that? So now between 10 people, the total money spent was $60 + $60= $120. Instead of all 10 of us buying the game for $60 = $600?

As long as they are on the original machine they can play for 24 hours. On other machines they can play for 1 hour.

Just hearing about this Microsoft confimed pocket rape. Im not happy. I only buy used, for the price, and by the time the price go down there's always large overwhelming feedback on weather the game is worth my time. I would go to SONY but I know they gonna do the same thing. I don't wanna by Wii cus they don't have the games I like.... we need to do something about this, to send a message to these dictators. They do this cus they know ppl gonna buy it anyway..... We need to send a message that will force change. They only understand money, but Im not so sure we can get enough gamers unified to boycott these machines. Cus best believe this is only the beginning of the control. ANy ideas yall? As long as they are on the original machine they can play for 24 hours. On other machines they can play for 1 hour.

the 24 and 1 hour limits are how long you can play offline w/o the box needing the authenticate, you can play on another machine for as long as you want as long as its connected to the net.

As for having 10 people play the same game, only 2 people can play the same game at the same time
