NFL 2013 Predictions Thread...

People on here call anybody who says anything remotely positive about Dallas delusional. The amount of people (analyst, fans whatever) who pick the Cowboys to win the Superbowl each year is not any more than the amount of people who pick any other team that was one win / drive away from the playoffs.

I'm not saying the Cowboys are never overhyped but stop acting like there are dozens of people saying they're going to the Superbowl each year.

There are dozens of people saying they'll be good every year, which is more than the reality has ever deserved.

Bengals will be a legit Super Bowl contender.

Chris Johnson will have a huge year.

Cam has another subpar year. Star will be DROY though.

Browns will contend for a Wild Card. T-Rich goes off and Weeden has a real solid year.

Raiders worst team in the league.

Tavon and Hopkins GREAT rookie seasons.

Reggie Bush, David Wilson and Gio Bernard will put up big numbers.

LeSean McCoy will lead the league in all purpose yards.

while mad Cowboys fans in S&T and ESPN analysts continue to say they'll win the SB each year

LOL. Two people on this site. Stop ya hyping BS...

...and you can't even quote probably more than one ESPN analysts that picked us to win the SB if any at all.

Yall dudes just love grabbing at air...

Hahaha, come on son. Last year, Skip Bayless, Eric Mangenie, Michael Irvin and the old FB from New England and New Orleans. They all said on TV the Cowboys would be in the SB last year. Over the last 4-5 years, we always see people picking them to go deep in the playoffs or make the SB.

^ That team is so ******g stacked on both sides of the ball. Not even sure why this needs an explanation.

It's not the 84 team, easy now. Very good but not impossible to see them miss, the NFC is super tough. That said I think they make playoffs

This team has talent and is physical. The can beat anyone in the NFC. Easily a top 3 team in the NFC. No team is perfect so I don't know how using the word "stacked" is getting blown out of proportion. They have a great O line and a mobile QB with an arm. Good running game. Defense is ferocious. They're secondary might not be the best but that line and LB core make up for it.

This guy said Skip Bayless and Micheal Irvin

And I know he isn't talking about Heath Evans, dude is Cowboys hater #2 behind Stephen A(who had Dallas going 3-13 last season) Only credible guy you listed was Mangini.

What makes any of the guys on ESPN or NFL Network credible? I don't give a damn what 99% of those people say. The point was, last year in WIR there were so many Cowboy fans that thought they were serious contenders. There were also plenty of analysts. You funboys always have some ridiculous prediction and then miss the playoffs. It's something we like to call a pattern.

Niketalk, for one.

The Cowboys have literally been like three plays away from making the playoffs the last few years.

Its not ridiculous to predict they will make the playoffs. The NFL has proven once you make the playoffs anything can happen.

Exactly. It seems like they've consistently settled in right where they belong.

There's this rumor that the Cowboys are inconsistent or underachieving, but really they're just consistently average/mediocre.

They just don't have enough talent on the roster because their GM spends his money poorly.

My bold prediction that could end up looking very stupid at the end of this 2013 NFL season:

The Arizona Cardinals or the St. Louis Rams; one of them will finish in 2nd place in the NFC West. Meaning either my 49ers or the Seadderal Seahawks will finish #3 in the division. Don't have a prediction for which one of them would miss the playoffs but just got a feeling either SF/SEA is gonna disappoint badly this season :frown: :smh:

I've liked what the Cards/Rams have done this off-season. Too many people sleeping on both of these teams imo. This is the NFL where turnarounds happen more often unlike say the NBA where you usually have to go take your lumps before you make the big jump to playoff contender.

I think SneakerPro meant why a fan can only call a team mediocre if the team he cheers for has won a Super Bowl/had tons of post-season success, etc.

A question I have after looking at some of your guys' predictions in here....

What spurns any of you to have the Lions finishing 2nd in the NFC North? No one will admit it, and maybe it's subconscious, but that 40-9 beating of the Patriots has to be a reason, right? But I bet none of you actually watched that game? Because if you had, you would've seen an extremely unimpressive Matthew Stafford, and an offense that was put in the red zone from the get-go multiple times because of Brady's and a few receivers mistakes (which you can definitely credit the Lions D partially for).

Stafford in 2011: 41 TDs, 16 INTs.
Stafford in 2012: 20 TDs, 17 INTs.

And if you've watched his performance at all in the preseason, you would see his mechanics haven't been fixed at all, and he's overthrowing receivers.

And, what did they get markedly better at that would make a 4-12 team turn into a Wild Card team? Don't give me the, "Well team's go from the bottom of the barrel to the playoffs every year!" Yeah, and if you look at those rosters and off-season acquisitions/departures of teams that have done that, you would find a trail that lead to their success. The Lions aren't THAT much better, at all.

If anything, the Bears, who finished 10-6 and only missed the playoffs because they were on the wrong side of a tiebreaker, are going to be the ones finishing second.
