NFL Divisonal Weekend In Review...

Brady looked scared last year vs the Ravens, he looked completely lost and was getting hit hard.

Tom Brady: 12 years as starter. 7th AFC title game. 5 Super Bowls. 3 wins.

:x :x :x

******* still zesty as hell. >:

Peyton is my favorite player of all time BUT he went out like a sucker. I'm not sticking up for dude ever again as far as GOAT talk goes. He might as well retire because he sealed his legacy with this game and I hope it doesn't get worse :{. How many chances are you gonna get knowing you don't like playing in cold weather and your getting older. I let that SB loss go and now this one is right up there. Should of went to the 49ers like we all said.

I'm confused why there is so much disdain here. The pick 6 is regrettable, but **** happens to the best of them. He bounced back to have a very nice game and led the Broncos to what looked like was the game-winning drive. It being a team game and all -- Rahim Moore really messed up at the end their. Obviously there are a lot of points in the game that you can say may have changed the game for the better for Denver -- a third down conversion here, a sack there, no interceptions, but in that situation, you can't have a mental gaffe like that in the NFL. Especially in crunch time like that.

The cold weather wasn't that much of a factor in Peyton's "demise."

Hard to beat a team when you spot them 20 points :{

Helluva comeback by Russy and Co. Zach Miller balled out of his got damn mind

Gotta give credit to ATL for finishing the game and stopping Beast mode

Sherman as everyone knows is a beast but even if you do beat him he will give you props :lol :hat

It was the two dudes I was worried about that showed up on those cathes..Douglas and Tony

and Tony was just abusing folks :{ congrats to his first playoff win...looong overdue for the HOFer

It's so ho-hum, another year at work type of a thing. I was thinking last night about when Bill and Brady are gone -- Picture 20 years from now when we're all a lot older. If the Patriots are a team that absolutely sucks or struggles to win, will we already be programmed to think they are a dangerous team because of how they consistently won in this era?

I mean think about it. I don't know if I'm articulating the question right, but sometimes it's just natural to look at a team say like the Steelers as always a team that can pull something off even when they suck. And it's because of their long history of success. I don't know. Like this particular era has forever dug N.E. out of the grave in our eyes.

You're basically asking if we will remember the now Patriots like a lot of us do the 90's Cowboys.

And the answer is yes. In fact, I think the 90's Cowboys SHOULD have been this Patriot team, if Jimmy was allowed to stay there and work over a decade like Bill has been able too, the Boys would have a ton more trophies to show off. That train would not have derailed like it did with Switzer's stupid *** and eventually the plague that is Jera.

Chester alluded to it earlier, Peyton comes out and takes a knee with 30 seconds and 2 TO's. Matt Ryan got his first win with 30 seconds on the clock. Denver made a mistake not trying to get something done and it cost them. I understand they were afraid of making a mistake and costing themselves even a shot at OT, but I wonder if that game was in a dome, I don't think they sit on that ball.

Matt Prater has shown he can knock FGs from 50+ with ease in Denver. At least give the man a shot, you know? :{

WHO THE **** CALLS A COVER TWO WITH 30 SECONDS LEFT IN A GAME WHEN YOURE UP BY A SCORE?????

Random stat from ESPN...

Ryan’s average target depth was 12.1 yards downfield, the highest single-game average of his career.

Still Matty Checkdown to me. :hat

I used to say that but not anymore. Peyton Manning is 9-11 in the playoffs with 8 one-and-dones. EIGHT :lol :{. There's no excuse for that anymore. Dude stay losing at home too. Rahim Moore is a fool but that last 30 seconds of the game and kneel w/ 2 timeouts? Chester McFloppy basically broke it down. like I said he is my favorite player ever but cold weather or not the one and done's are embarrassing.

Its crazy. I don't even think they wanted to give him a shot because of that atrocious field goal attempt during the game. Still, they should of tried again

Fair enough.

Props to Atlanta for hanging on

i put 90% of the blame on john fox for that L, 5% moore 5% peyton
peyton and eli needs to do the fusion dance

Just went on the Packers boards for the first time... Operation Fire Dom is in full effect on there.

Cant say I disagree too much... Dudes defense has gotten torched 3 out of 4 years in the playoffs.

Giants, Cards and 9ers scored a combined, what? 51+45+38 or something?

The fact that only 3 of Kaps 181 were after contact is just too much for my senses.

Dom's reluctance or inability to make adjustments was :x

The defense was way to easy to predict and didn't even come close to confusing a second year quarterback. Rush the edges and hope the man coverage works. Probably the worst thing you can do against someone like Kaep.

I'm just not sure how you defend Kaepernick. It's not like Dom didn't make adjustments...they just didn't work. Play Zone, he torches the defense with his arm. Play man and he's running all over the field. Maybe emphasize gap control and containment rather than rushing upfield so hard....I don't know and neither does Dom Capers :lol

With Vick, you used to be able to force him to his right and make him throw it across his body to complete a pass. Kaepernick should be forced left? Do you invite the run with the chance of actually laying a lick on him? Maybe send extra guys up the middle, not allowing Kap to simply step up and start running. Tough call.

49ers are the most well-rounded team left.

Baltimore is old and just squeaked by Denver, I think New England will take care of them next week, even though I want a Harbowl. But on the other hand, losing Gronk is big, so who knows, maybe Baltimore can do it. Ray will have those guys ready to play.

I wanted my Niners to play Seattle in SF to get to the Super Bowl, but after seeing Atlanta lose that 20 point lead in the 4th qtr to Seattle, I'm singing a different tune.

Kaepernick with the video game numbers, what he did to Green Bay was just absolutely amazing. For him to rise up after throwing that pick-6, wow.

SF vs. Baltimore in the Super Harbowl or SF vs. New England, Brady trying to beat the team he grew up watching, the comparisons between him & Montana, etc, etc...

either way......

49ers bring home that 6th Lombardi trophy. :hat

If Peyton wanted the ball he would've gotten it.

Dude had no trouble running out there and taking a knee, he wanted no parts of it.

As for him going to the 9ers he knew what he was doing, ******** he didn't wanna get in Eli's way.

He knew the AFC was the easier route, the joke of the AFC west with the pats being the only top tier team in the AFC cause of TB12.

You think he wanted to take a beating in the NFC west because of Seatrle, St Louis and Zona.

Plus the giants , packers, falcons, saints, etc...

Well, the nature of that offense and the way it is run is to make the defense have to play simple and not allow them to run confusing coverages. And frankly, there weren't really that many adjustments to make. It was simply missed assignments left and right. Football 101. Maintain leverage on the ball and keep gap integrity. Which they didn't do all night. If all your LB's are misreading the play fake, what can you do? Someone has the dive man and someone has the QB. That's what happens when ppl try to do too much and play outside of what the scheme is built for.
