Calvin Johnson was barely putting up 1000 yards a season til Stafford stayed healthy.

It's no coincidence Calvin Johnson has put up the best two year stretch a WR has ever had once Matt stayed healthy.

I read today that Lions receiver's were tackled inside the 5 23 times. :x

Calvin was tackled inside the 1 5 times.

Which of course led the league.

They also led the league in dropped passes :{

it's an honest mistake...he's been getting grouped in with the big class from last year in the entire thread. i think we all know what people mean when they do it.
 
I care. Feel like that should be basic football knowledge if you've been paying attention the last year or so.

QB Buzz around draft was just Luck, RGII, and Tannehill, Wilson, and the others were getting typical mid round stuff. Would have heard about Kaepernick.

Maybe it's specific, but it's little things like that that I want someone to have knowledge of when I'm reading their thoughts on the game. :lol Shows their attentive i dunno. :lol

Why consider RGlll below Russ? You cannot be serious if you think Russ would have had the same success if he were with the ********. Do you really feel Russ would have dropped 40 the first week in the New Orleans? :lol

No way to know. There's also a lot of variables that you have to take into account. RGIII came in as the guy, so he received the majority of training camp/preseason reps. Wilson was involved in a QB competition and got considerably less reps than RGIII. That could be a reason why Russell wasn't as hot out of the gates.
 
RGlll has better accuracy, arm and legs, even in college. I don't see how you are rating Russ above RGlll just yet...

And how many snaps do you suppose Alfred Morris got before the start of the season? Kaep too unless you definitely know he had some first team reps while Alex Smith was there.
 
I put Russ over rg3 but case can be made for either or... Not a big deal

Like I said...There's many variables that can come into play, but I can say with absolute certainty that equating a RB to the early development of a QB is nowhere near the same level of difficulty.

And Kaep, while never really getting first team reps, had a full year and a half under his belt of learning. He always had the skillset, but his time sitting allowed him to understand parts of the game that he didn't know before getting to SF.

This quote coming from Douglas....is something I take with a grain of salt. 

"in that Super Bowl, you saw what he is going to see all year long.  Teams are going to hit him."  Really Douglas?  What Super Bowl were you watching?  Care to point out all the times where Colin took a big hit?  Or any hit rather?  He makes it seem as if Kap was on his back all game long.  He also alludes to the fact that Kap doesnt play well in the pocket because he didnt in the SB, and that we should expect more of that.  So let me get this straight.  He was GREAT from inside the pocket for the overwhelming majority of his 10 starts, as Sando pointed out as Kap had the highest QBR in the entire league from inside the pocket....but Douglas chooses to use one game as his measuring stick?  Really dumb analysis. 

Look, I have no problem saying Kap has things to work on, or even that I agree with the article that Wilson is indeed the more polished passer right now.  But when someone lists idiotic reasons to back that claim, thats where I have issue with it.

No doubt.  It's back to the drawing board for Douglas with that analysis and more importantly back to the drawing board for the person that even posted that quote from Douglas to begin with. 
 
I just hope my man Rivers gets back on track. A few years ago he was too 3-4 QBs. I don't know what he been on these past few seasons. San Diego defiantly dropped the ball on his personnel post LT.
