NFL rule change update. No thread?

I had a long post but lost it.

Cliffs

-Owners meeting in Indy, all 32 owners voted unanimously for new players safety rules.
- Really emphasizing no hits to the head or neck. Suspension plus fine for egregious hits are real possibility. last year was was warning.
- Added new scenarios to defensless player. Player who just landed, players who's progress has been stopped.
- Deemphasizing hits to the helmet of a quaterback by the hands and arms as long as they're not forcible.
- Will fine teams who pass a flagrant foul threshold. undecided on the number currently. (May strip draft picks?) B. Three teams would have
been fined if the rules were in place last year. my guess. Steelers, Ravens, Titans/Lions.
- collected footage and are showing refs whats legal/illegal. (This is great to me. Really needed a guideline)

I'm on board with this. The rules were already in place but weren't really defined. Long as they continue to create a solid guideline as to whats legal
and be forthcoming with it.

Player who just landed classified as defenseless? So you can throw it up and over the middle with no worries of your wideout getting lit up?

I didn't clarify. it's hitting the head/neck (with anything: helmet, shoulder, arm) while they're defensless. if you're gonna jar the ball loose you gotta hit the torso . If
you're blocking the qb after he throws a pick, you gotta take him out hitting his torso.
Edit: And if its incidental helmet/shoulder/arm to helmet/neck contact while making a legal tackle its okay, like if a LB is zeroing in on a running back
and the running back gets low and they collide helmets.  At leat to my understanding.

not sure how i feel about some of these rules. A lot of wideouts will curl up when they jump and catch the ball, it makes it kinda hard for defenders to really aim.

I'm all for safety but it seems like offensives players are gaining more and more every year
