Gonna be there for August, been a couple times but not for very long.

Anyone live near there/go there in the summers? Anything in particular I should check out/do?

I have some family who moved to Nice last year, and a friend travelling through Europe just went there... he told me out of all the cities he has been to sofar (he's still travelling) he thought Nice was the worst (keep in mind that he was there for about two days)


Looks so nice though.. I'd love to visit

me and my friends are planning on back packing Europe sometime and Nice is definitely one of the cities I would like to visit.
Heard many great things from the beaches to the laid back culture.
Any body ever been? or even experienced backpacking around Europe as a whole?

Copp 2- Go elsewhere for beaches, they are too rocky in Nice.

Anyone? Some firsthand info would be appreciated. I don't know anyone who's spent a lot of time here, everyone just goes to the less urban places likeCannes.

I went to Marseilles a couple years ago...I was supposed to shoot down to Nice...but the vibe there is tight...

A couple friend of mine went to Nice...a few times...said it was crazy fun...

But if you go, you better have stacks on deck...
