The difference is that Iphones have constant production. You miss it this week, catch it the next, or week after that.  Let apple drop the Iphone 5 one time, in a limited amount that MIGHT restock and watch what happens.

This.
Dudes are comparing apples (no pun intended) to oranges.

It's not really apples to oranges, because majority of people buying iphones on release day are buying them to flip just like people who buy sneakers on release day. Apple always has a shortage that last a couple weeks which drives the price up but there are no roits (atleast in NA).

they are being manufactured at the moment..just trying get scraps from previous foams to put together
yeah i've actually been shocked at the lack of fakes of these.
maybe they dropped too quickly?

or has the fake era ended

lol yeah right

Smh at that Nike CEO message. The only information I see online about this is from the people posting that exact message on other websites. That sounds completely made up.

Still isn't the same homie. If someone wants an iphone, they can get it no problem a year later for retail or cheaper. Now, if you even somewhat like a shoe, your forced to get it on release just to avoid having to pay resell prices later.

hey nike if you produced more products in large amounts like apples does and restock more maybe you'll catch up!

The amount of free advertisement they received is priceless. They didn't release these to cater to us, they did it to reach out to more people and more importantly first time buyers. We're going to buy their stuff regardless, but the stay at home mom that was reading the news paper and saw the multiple page spread and then decided to checkout NDC and saw the the running advertisement and then went ahead and clicked it and saw the LG3s and decided to purchase them, that's who this shoe was intended for. We're already factored into their bottom line, she wasn't. Adding her > pleasing us.

So spot on. I've posted similar rhetorical questions on Nike not producing enough, which they could and earn more. They are factoring in the advertisement that all the media is giving them. They couldn't buy this with their entire advertising budget, since it can't be created without the masses wanting exclusive and limited products. They are doing the exact same thing with the Nike fuel Band. The comparisons to apple aren't that far off though, and again, Nike couldn't pay enough to be compared to Apple...until now when we all do it for them!

. Funny thing is that you'd still have people camping out to get in line for the tournament. lol

Dudes are just trying to make sneaker blogs at this point with these craigslist ads. It's all trolling.

So being that these are NOW popping up on early release sites (Air-Randy), and early release sites are know to sell shoes stolen off the production line.  Is it safe to assume Nike is planning a re-release of this sneaker?

They should have done these the same was the air mag release was handled.
I agree, only that Nike knows what "group" of people they're catering to every time they release a specific shoe. The air mag group consisted of wealthy donors of Parkinson's disease research and back to the future heads. The faomposite group is composed of a bunch of low life snotty nosed kids from the ghetto. Nike handles releases differently depending on the crowd they're aiming for.

Not as farfetched as you may think.

I agree, i mean these are line the Air Mags but they are more than Yeezy's right now....personally if I was going to drop 2-5k on a pair of sneakers I would go Air Mag just because there is NO WAY NIKE will retro them.

Copped from DTLR in DC. Release was surprisingly smooth, I didn't notice any incidents while I was out there. There was probably 300-400 heads out there, they raffled off 45 pair. Got my size 10. I was surprised that cops cleared the parking lot out after all the numbers were called for the raffle and escorted each winner from the store to their vehicles.

have you guys seen the resale on ebay so far for the nike elite galaxy socks? $60+ thats
