From everything I'm seeing, they're legit. What do you mean by flexible? The essentials don't bend like the free's if that's what you're thinking. Hope this helps.

I made a mistake about the flexibility comment, is it normal for the nike logo on the insole of the shoe to start wearing off after a day of use?

Yeah they're legit. They do wear off.
