Think sizing is pretty TTS, little more space than AM90. Run a little long, got some room in the toe.

I'm hopeful it won't be so bad. I compared the 2021 that came in this morning with a DS pair from 2008: the paint job on the 2008's was pretty bad, to put it lightly

2008 on the top, 2021 on the bottom.

You can see a thick blob of midsole paint (near the swoosh and the black portion of the heel counter) on the 2008 on the left whereas 2021 looks more consistent. The 2021s are less glossy too.

Yea I noticed the gloss difference right away. I had to check back to be sure though. Didnt notice the black piece was glossy too and now it’s matte. Only nitpick on the new pair is the toe box isn’t full black, it’s kind of faded. The 08 was darker.

Sold my DS 08s about a year ago.

Wasn’t sure about the wearability plus with Nike, I knew they’d be back sooner or later.

Quality, who knows though - but couldn’t be worse then the cracking on the 08 pairs.

If i had smaller feet, I'd DEFINITELY get the GS version. They will 100% keep shape better, and keep clean easier.

Was in flight club earlier dropping off for goat decided to pop into Jimmy Jazz in the Bronx on white plains road came thru size 12. Looks like they have plenty pairs sitting.

Wore one of my 2008 pairs today. Still wearable, despite the paint shredding in some spots the midsole is still solid.

The 2021 has a slightly thicker tongue up top now, it's also now light grey and white while the 2008 was all light grey.

How do they compare comfort wise? The 08s' have a pretty dense midsole so not a lot of give thus the comfort isn't great for a running shoe.

I know what you mean about the 08s, they were very stiff but they did get a little more comfortable after wearing them for a while. I haven't worn the 2021s out for walking yet but from trying them on comfort seems to be about the same. The insole feels like it has more comfort than the 2008's; it feels like a springy kind of foam whereas the 2008 had a flat rubber insole.

wouldn’t be for me but for the wife. She doesn’t care for the OG materials like I do so leather would probably be best. Just GS sizes to me look a bit “different” of that makes sense.

Same here. I'm gonna grab a GS pair for my wife as well who also doesn't care about any of that stuff. She usually doesn't care about my shoes but I came home the other day with these and she said these were the best looking shoes I've ever bought lol.

Comparing comfort, main difference is better sole on the 2021 pair. When wearing one 2008 shoe and one 2021 shoe, the 2008 feels like cardboard and 2021 feels like typical Air Max retro (not amazing, but solid).

Also noticed another slight design difference, the white paint on the 2008 midsole has an almost metallic or pearlescent sheen to it, while 2021 are a straight matte white.

I forgot exactly how atrocious the 2008 were. That pearly sheen indeed. That toe box!
