yupNo celebs got early pairs from NDC like most releases. All the people buying pairs at these prices are celebs. And they are THIRSTY.

If they mean that their management/label/whoever is buying them for the celebrities, that's all the better for sellers. But you would have already seen a lot more of these on celeb feet if they had indeed been "given" to them by Nike.Celebs didn't have these given to them
Most celebs dont even cop them. They get them given to them.
For those that have copped to rock any Yeezy 2, What is your favorite way to lace them?
@DJ Proto J
?
I'm thinking of just tightening the lace locks and letting the laces hang down through the strap.
$1.8k-$2.4k
would kill for some DS Plats. IMO, the best colorway. What are they running at these days?
and with the RO being so hyped, you may be able to get them a tad cheaper.. guys are willing to let kicks go for a lil less, so the can pick up RO's.. im looking for Solars now... just to many fakes to weed thru
$1.8k-$2.4k
Questlove got his pair from someone in Nike. Im sure thats the not the only celeb who has that hookup. All those cancelled orders are probably on celeb feet right nowIf they mean that their management/label/whoever is buying them for the celebrities, that's all the better for sellers. But you would have already seen a lot more of these on celeb feet if they had indeed been "given" to them by Nike.
Roughly how many members had their order's cancelled?THERE WERE A LOT MORE THAN 2-3 SIZE RUNS THAT WERE CANCELLED. I GUARANTEE YOU THAT...
Questlove works with Nike. Don't think that means much of anything regarding celebrities as a whole.Questlove got his pair from someone in Nike. Thanks @DJ Proto J

Also, someone is selling their Red October RECEIPT on ebay.
Not sure what's more shocking, that someone is selling a piece of paper, or that it has 3 bids on it.

Dudes who have fakes will use that receipt to sell along with their pair and make the buyer feel assurance that they are real.

Plenty of other celebs have "worked" with Nike. Im sure they didnt have a hard time at all.Questlove works with Nike. Don't think that means much of anything regarding celebrities as a whole.
Okay so you're trying to tell me a super hyped/limited release like the ROs would lose value because of fakes? There were fakes all over the internet before these dropped and they were still being bought at 6k plus once they hit the market (legit pairs from Nike). Once the Legit ones dry up more people will pay extra to ensure that their pair is legit, not offer less because there's fakes everywhere.
What logic is there behind fake shoes lowering the value of legit shoes? I for one would rather pay more (in consideration to how fast the market is shriveling up on these) knowing my pair is legit and not fake since there's an abundant of fake ones everywhere.
When solars and plats first dropped they could be had for less than 1500 a piece. As the fakes rolled in they tripled from that price. So explain to me how fakes will decrease the value of legit ones?
Its simple supply and demand, not buyers spending more to ensure their pair is legit or holders of authentics pairs upping their price as DJ mentioned above. Whats stopping fakes seller to up the price of fakes as well?
lulz wat...???

you're right. it was when the "super perfect" replicas came out that the solar's jumped in price, and i think it was mostly due to the holders of authentics for sale upping their price cuz they knew people who will only settle for authentics will pay it to guarantee their pair is legit. plus the numbers of DS pairs dried up, so that always drives the price up.
there will always be idiots who don't care and just buy fakes, which really makes no sense on this shoe, cuz even the fakes cost a ton of money, so you can't even feel good after spending that much, cuz deep down you know you still don't have the ACTUAL air yeezy 2 sneaker, no matter how perfect your fakes are, they are fake. you may fool others, but you can't fool yourself (and to some people this doesn't matter, which is sad).
but there will also always be true sneaker connoisseurs who will not evar settle for a fake, and if they want the shoe badly enough in their collection, and they are serious and have money (which hardcore sneaker heads typically find a way to have the money, even if they really don't, LOL), they pay what they have to, to attain the real deal.
it's like hardcore art collectors, they can't settle for a fake, or a print... they pay premiums for the real thing.
so yeah, i agree, the super duper perfect fakes of these will only drive up the price of authentics.
the only thing is, the makers of the true super perfect fakes don't make them available to just anybody apparently... i've heard they don't just respond to anyone, not sure how they filter out their clientele... chances are they are selling most of them on ebay, claiming them authentic, and for every paypal claim cuz the buyer knows their stuff, there's prolly more people out there who've never held the sneaker and think they got the real thing, and they make G's off of them... that makes more sense for them, cuz chances are they're putting a decent amount of money into producing them, to get them so "perfect", so why not sell them for rape prices on ebay, instead of for only a couple or few hundred dollars on their website.
it's crazy what this whole replica thing has come to lately... it's only the last couple years now that they're actually getting good... i just don't think they will actually hold up over time, they don't have the actual technology being used by nike, all the same exact materials, so they will likely fall apart quicker (it's just sad that some of nike's quality is so piss poor, it's not entirely impossible that the fakes are up to par or will be better than nike's, LOL)...
What yeezy shoe went down in price/value when fakes starting showing up? Even super fakes? Its simple supply and demand, not buyers spending more to ensure their pair is legit or holders of authentics pairs upping their price as DJ mentioned above. If fakes never existed their still would be the same amount of legit pairs available
If fakes enter the market guess what, their would still be the same amount of legit pairs available, only this time more buyers (hip to the game or not) have more supply to choose from which in turn decreases the demand. Imagine if fakes didnt exist, now you have more buyers in the market all trying to get their hands on a shoes which is highly limited. Generally fakes/GMs, etc lower pricing.

Not like it really makes a difference.... anyone can print up a fake receipt in 5 minutes with Photoshop
This is crazy I cant find a decent price on a sz9 or 9.5.... Dude turned down my offer of 2.5k + Black/Gold 1, Prelude 4, and Concord 11 :x
