Also…. with the debut cw of these launching in January 2026, my hopes are high that we might actually see the Oogie Boogie and/or Pumpkin King cws for the Book 1 this Halloween!

I get it if that’s Book’s thing. Like him wanting each model of his sig to be loosely based off a favorite shoe of his. As someone who loved lots of different models, that would be door to put your spin on them. Can be at least more original by dressing it in his own colorways.
But it feels like that what they (company)/and now others (consumers) want to happen instead of being original. Take the Jordan 40 thread for instance. Got a dude in there doing photoshops of colorways based on of shoes and other sigs of Jordan. I don’t know if it’s because it was introduced with a basic colorway or what.

If I was Nike I be looking at unreleased or preproduction models to stay inline with the theme. I wouldn’t just copy and paste the thing. You’ll get the design elements with it still being something fresh

KD's line does the same thing with taking direct inspiration from older models now
