I did go tts, same size as my book 1s.
I can see what people mean, def less give than the 1's in the foot. My feet are narrow though.
I wouldn't call them unwearable though, just got some shots up today and lifted weights. Will be doing my first run in them tomorrow.

Post run I def felt on the top of my foot, greater lock down than the 1s but def not as comfy out the gate.
Ironically they became more comfortable after I tightened the laces (forcing the tongue up maybe?) who knows...... Still very good overall shoe. I think it will break in well but sizing up would have been ideal

If a shoe is *just* a bit short in length, or has a taper that presses down on the ends of your toes...tightening the laces will draw your heel back further and give you a little more space.
