While the Book 1 is arguably an all time classic in the making...I don't think there's any saving the 2.

This is coming from a casual wearer's perspective though.

Oh okay, that’s fair. At that point it’s really just personal preference. I’ve definitely seen other people say the same thing online.

For me, I think people are mixing up the silhouette with the colorways. If someone doesn’t like the retail color palette, that’s totally valid. But I don’t think that means the shoe itself needs “saving.”

The shape, proportions, and overall design are solid, especially as an everyday/off-court sneaker. I know on court it varies per person. Some people love em, some people hate em. The biggest issue, in my opinion, is that Book has shown so many incredible PE colorways that set the bar really high, while the retail pairs have been more on the conservative side. It was kinda of what happened with the 1 too.

With that being said some of my favorite colorways that released have been fragment, Spiridon, Haven, McDonald’s, the upcoming black and silver team bank, purple foam, just book, and tiger camo. Chevy pack on the way too, possibly.

Think these are leaps and bounds better than the 1

I have a pair of 1 and while they had some amazing colorways the shoe looked way too casual

These atleast look like a basketball shoe

I wear the WNBA pair all the time. Once broken in the 2 feels like clouds.
