Depending on materials on colors on certain colorways, other than Lebron 4’s, reminds me od Penny 2’s a bit a too.
Since this the 23’s they should def lean into the hero’s pack and collabs vibe heavy, seems like that is only time Lebron line has had any sort of interest, prime example is the Prime x Lebron 21’s, (Pun Intended) fire shoe and best looking Lebron in years!
I would really like to see how these would look in the Penny 2 OG Black/Royal colorway and when we get proper pictures, can someone photoshop that for ya boi?!

I'll wait to pass judgement for the final product, but this seems like a really lazy use of lines on a signature shoe. Hopefully it all comes together in the details, otherwise

I don’t think it’s a lazy use of lines. It’s his W/Witness logo on the side of the shoe but blacked out for a wear test sample. It’ll have swooshes and what not. Just need to see actual colorways.

I mean Nike is adapting to what people are buying. Brons sit while GT cuts sell. Remember, they put this shoe together years ago and it looks that way. This isn’t bad looking at all, but we can see enough to tell nothing wild is happening design wise. Like I said, a step up from the past 2 years at least

GT Cuts go on mega sales just as Brons do. Black Label Turbos were $99 on DSG, amongst many regular Cuts being on sale everywhere else as well. EVERYTHING sits that isn’t limited.
3 of the 5 color ways of Turbos on Nike are on sale for 30% off right now and all 5 have practically a FSR including the Rob Dillingham pair that JUST dropped and is definitely one of the better colorways of the model.
This isn’t a Bron thing, it’s a basketball thing, or rather a sneaker thing
From Jordan’s, Penny’s, Kobe’s, Bron’s, etc. they all go on sale during their OG runs. It’s normal.

I agree like you said only GTs that didn’t go on sale were the Cut 1s and those were very limited due to supply chain issues because of the pandemic….
The price of Nike basketball shoes needs to go down as well. The consumers that have once had disposable income to spend on their favorite hoop shoes do not. Pair that with the high retail price of a lot of Nikes basketball shoes would definitely lead to more of there products going on sale

Even the 1s nowadays, I’ve went in twice to try and buy a pair, both times I waited outside the store about 2 hours before open cause it was FCFS and I walked away empty handed. I was among the first two in line both times and they didn’t have a 12 in stock for me (mind you, how is there no 12 for the first in line? Then the second time the one person in front of me got a 10.5 and they still didn’t have my 12
). Of course that’s gonna “sell out”. When I got the LeBron 21 ‘96 Deions I got the ONLY 12 and again I was within the first two in line.Make it make sense
Feels like they brought back the 1s just to hype the GT Cut name at this point and not to try and supply the market with more pairs. Good tactic for them but for us consumers it’s just aggravating. Game has been “peeped” though, haven’t put in any work and won’t put in any work for any 1s going forward, **** it.

That’s a tricky one, they sit and go on sale at times which then becomes a crazy bargain but they benefit from already retailing close to what a Bron/GT/high price sig would go on sale for while meeting the current demand of many hoopers (low, decent tech, all around solid performer at a “reasonable” price). The recent 3 (Blueprint) could’ve been had on release day on FNL and they’re still up on DSG.
If Brons and Cuts were offered at the same price I’d say they’d sell pretty similarly but price cuts like that on a bigger scale (like the $50-60 deals some seem to get at their local outlet) would ruin Nike’s tier illusion of premium/plus/plain in the basketball realm.
