I’ve always thought that when LeBron does retire, it won’t be something he announces ahead of time in the offseason. Right now, he may feel like he’s got a few more seasons in him, especially given how he looked last year. But here’s the thing—last year is the key. The decline can hit suddenly, almost overnight. So, I wouldn’t be surprised if he starts the season looking a bit slower in October and ends up making a retirement announcement around November, kind of like how Kobe did.
And if not this season, then maybe it happens next... but I still think the order in which it happens stays the same.

I agree with that... Bron is going to be the headline regardless.
If he announces it too early then the draft, FA and trades that could steal some of his spotlight.

He deserves a farewell tour to say the least. All said and done, there’s some money moves to be made as well. He’s not leaving without one more contract of some sort. An extension or whatever the heck it’s gonna be, and it will be for big money.

I thought there was a good chance he might do it last year. I think this is definitely it. He keeps saying over and over that he's not gonna be the guy that hangs on past his usefulness. Clearly he can still play some so he's out there.
There's no way he'll play after this season in my opinion. Doesn't matter when he announces it, if you think about it. People will say it's attention seeking if it's announced tomorrow, opening night, christmas day, the trade deadline, playoff push, missing the playoffs, start of the playoffs, draft day, don't matter lol.

Bryce will get drafted in June 2026. I’d say that could be his last year, but then again after that one season with Bryce (assuming he can make that happen) it’ll be one year away from 25 years in the league.
Whenever he does retire, what an amazing career we got to watch unfold with a phenomenal signature line to accompany it. Will go down as one of the greatest alongside Petrie. Glad I was able to see it from beginning to end.

Oh and something that hasn’t been mentioned yet.. him reaching his 25th year will then be capped by yet another run at gold in the 2028 Olympics that is hosted in LA. Now that would be one hell of a send off… fitting too.

LMAO, they gave us good color ways CONSISTENTLY 2 years ago.. NBY was a decade ago.
I’m one of the few that doesn’t wanna see anymore NBY/iD on mainline sigs. For every great colorway there’s about 100 horrible ones. Plays out the model even more IMO. Instead of Nike giving us crap color ways to look at, we get it from the general public.. Plus they’ll limit the colors, materials, etc.
I wanna see that White/Gold AF 1 color way on a pair of these, that Black/White color way from the scan sheet alongside the Black/Gold. They have potential.
