That's the point of that specific colorway - the marketing behind it is to "destroy the shoe" and see the underlying tech after the paint wears away

I think, as ugly as the Free 3s are, the sole actually looks good, performance-wise. Flexibility up front and a wide heel for weight distribution and high side walls for containment. But the upper just seems totally at odds, looking super loose and cheap.

Not the best looking shoe (FxM3), but if it performs well, then I'm in. It already looks better without the plastic lacing holes/panels...those never kept the laces tied.

got the react metcons in yesterday...I like them but they are coated on one side with some plastic-ish covering(maybe for rope climbs) & the other side is all knit
whatever it is, it’s driving me crazy because it’s not uniform & pisses my OCDness off. I don’t like it & will go with the 5s I also ordered or the old Metcon Free 1s I still have.
maybe I’ll try these out since Nike gives 30 days of use, I’m intrigued by the react insole but just from initial wear I’m not impressed there as much as I hoped either...but I feel like an actual workout could change everything

^, I saw those today and couldn't figure out what in the world the CW signified. I saw the Cheat Day writing on the back though.
I am really digging the 5, I have three of them and want more. Btw, the AMP CW's midsole/outsole glows in the dark and Nike doesn't mention that on the site.

Just picked these up via curbside pick-up from "Richard's"/DSG! It's $90 on there right now, guys!
Maybe I'm not exactly the best person to provide a review on these since I do not do heavy-lifting, CrossFit and the likes. I primarily do just general strength-training with dumbbells and cardio/HIIT at home. I really enjoyed the original Free x Metcons for about 20 months for indoor workouts, but I've been looking to upgrade. Been currently test-driving the SuperRep Go and they've been really good, but the high-profile ride is a bit of a dealbreaker.

I am very surprised at the lack of render, photos from the look books and leaks from the factories.
I think the embargo ruling on these are even more strict.. plus covid has effected the release dates.
