Yeah that review was weak sauce. Right off the bat when you're dropping a review so late in the game it's gonna feel redundant. Like what could they say that hasn't been said a bunch of times, if you've followed the shoe. The extended 1 on 0 footage is washed.

Tre from KG has always rubbed me the wrong way, no matter what he says or does. But it's obvious that he runs the show while Jeremy goes to school and pursues boxing. They'll have some sponsor money for awhile, but even their teeny bopper fan base will abandon ship if their lack of both quantity and quality continues.
A lot of people rag on Nightwing (oh he's old, white, short, etc.) but he and his team are consistent, knowledgeable, and timely. I always look to him first.

KG's youtube fanbase is so cringeworthy, and yeah I agree about Tre. J Jones seems like a cool guy but Tre comes off as insincere.

Gotta figure these KG cats been doing reviews since 2011-2012. Things change. We are all not the same person we were 5-6 years ago. To me they always pumped out solid reviews etc.

You can't say the Sole Brothers do it for ad money, all of their reviews are very informative and better than most.

KG used to be the best hands down.. but ever since Tre started his other channel and stopped hooping.. they fell off hard. Sole Brothers aren't very informative and seem to just wing it on everything instead of putting some actual thought into their content. Nightwing is very informative but his game is kinda weak and I can't really see him putting the shoe to the test. Jahron is a good player but he got kinda emotional when his AD's sole ripped and it seemed to kinda take away from his objectivity of the review which wasn't a good look imo. Foamer and Young Buckets are basically the only one's left in the game that provide quality reviews these days. That's my take on it anyways.. and if I hear SoleBrother's talk about the superiority of solid outsoles to translucent outsoles one more time.... we get it. /end

I don't like it that Foamer started incorporating his vlogs to his reviews, it used to be concise and right to the point but now you have to sift through all the other bs and trying to sell sh*t, not only that but his reviews isn't straightforward, he gets sidetracked in the middle of it and goes off course
I liked the old 3-5 min content/review that got to the point, I don't want to have watch extra 8-10 minutes of extra crap mixed in with the reviews
and I don't like to talk about peoples skills because I can't really talk like I'm the best out there but have you seen SB Sammy's vid on his "go to" moves? I mean if you're going to knock Nightwing for his game, check out that dude and tell me he isn't worse

I played in them on Monday and they gripped just fine, I'll play again in them today to make sure.
They've bee doing reviews for years and are trying to branch out and do different things. They shouldn't forget about what got them there in the first place.
All of their reviews have been real late recently and become almost pointless after the shoe's been out for months. Four colorways have released and they're just going their first review of the shoe?

Once Foamer starting peddling his goods I went elsewhere. I can't knock him but I just dont have time for anything but a straightforward review. Don't have a preferred reviewer but some I don't watch for one reason or another.

at least with KG, I could fast forward through the showcase vid and go to the "final thoughts" and you're in the review and it's straightforward from then on
and I don't mind their late review, better than nothing and it's never a bad thing to have an extra review or two, I don't think it's ever a bad thing, they could still offer a different view

The fact that there's been four coloways of a single model of shoe is referencing the fact that the shoe has been out for a while. Usually they get shoes early and to review a shoe months after it was released makes the video much "Less Anticipated".
In the past I'd look forward to their reviews to see what was coming out to see if it was worth purchasing or even considering purchasing.
And yes, every person has to try the shoe out themselves by actually playing in them, we know this.

In the big picture these reviewers are just doing it to share their love of basketball, sneakers, entertaining, informing, offering their opinions, making money, sell their products, etc and shouldn't be taken too seriously. They're just normal people like the rest of us but taking advantage of Youtube.

Then why does it matter if the review is late? I know that having 4 colorways released meant it has been out a while, still doesn't change the fact that it doesn't matter much if the review is late.
But really, lets look at the release of the PG1s. The Shinings came out on February and KG didn't test that out and probably didn't get it because it was limited? One of the shoes they are testing is the black ice which came out this month and the other is the obsidians which came out last month. It hasn't even been 2 months since the shoe they are reviewing came out (obsidians came out March 3/4?) but people really feel entitled that the review should come sooner?
They don't always get shoes early and they've been busy (been to Eastbay warehouse and UA studios) and if they do not get any of those early then they have to take longer to review them.
Again do you prefer they play in/test them for weeks or so it like SB and do an overnight test then a review the next day?
I just don't see the knock on them doing a review a little late compared to the others, you are putting too much emphasis on their reviews if it's your deciding factor in the purchase and as I said, the shoes are sitting so buy them now.

its a review on the shoes and if you valued their opinion then just wait, again the shoes are sitting so buy them now?As you agreed on, it has to be tried on yourself so buy them from NDC and you got 30 days to try them yourself and return if you're not satisfied.
Some of these comments are ridiculous, reviews are pointless because they are late and they didn't tell you whether the shoe should be bought or not and now the anticipation is lessened

Yup...I would take his review on any sneaker with a grain of salt. Do those SB dudes do any real hoopin? It looks like they bring a bunch of shoes to the local rec center and shoot around then take pics and post it on IG.
Or they'll go shopping and post a pic of a shoe and ask to cop? Dumb.
