Sounds like the short laces got you to rachet them down too tight. Loosen em up some or even out the tightness. Sometimes you can get it right the first tie, sometimes it takes a few tries then playing a few minutes then redoing it.

I've had that arch pain in a couple shoes, kobe 11 and lebron 20 come to mind. Sabrinas didn't give me that problem. I'm sure there's a lotta variables to that.
