Anybody know exactly why nike ships to so many other countries BUT canada? Thanks fam
^ it would undermine canadian retail
Import duties would take care of that.
those duties go into the government's pocket, not nike's. if you're saying nike themselves could add an absurdly high levy like ftl does, then yes, they could easily do that. that 34% is definitely more than taxes and duties
no big deal, just use a re-shipper..
^ still adds a shipping fee. most places will charge another small fee to remove the invoice from your package to avoid the duties that will still result if you try to reship your own package through customs. that can add up to a big deal.
Nike Canada step your game up.
we need acces to NDC
man, we don't even have a nike store/outlet in winnipeg...
If you really need something from Nike.com, I can re-ship for you for a small handling fee.
Yeah, I have a place in Florida. Can always work something out to ship the stuff up. The exchange rate isn't that great for shopping in the US right now though.
I agree. We need access to NDC.
even with the terrible exchange rate, it's still cheaper to buy off ndc and then ship up here than it is to buy retail from a canadian footlocker
The latest Jordan 7 release was $190 USD, which works out to $240 CAD. That's already Canadian retail without factoring in shipping from the U.S. to Canada. I guess after shipping it works out to be about even if you're in a province with the highest sales tax and this is assuming you don't get hit with any taxes or duties on delivery. But even then, you're still better off buying from a Canadian retailer.
NDC would only be beneficial for NikeID IMO, everything else you're better off just buying from a Canadian retailer
i guess it depends on the shoe model. with the wtk9s, you definitely came out ahead buying from the states. but yeah, you're right. i'm in ontario and that 13% sales tax isn't fun. people living in provinces with lower taxes are probably better off buying locally if the exchange continues to worsen
I agree. As long as you have access to what you want locally, it is better to buy where you are. When the exchange rate is on par, it may be beneficial to buy and have items shipped from the US. For Nike IDs, you don't have many options right now since they don't ship to Canada.
It's stupid thought footlocker ca holds off on the more hyped up releases and only ure left with kids sizes or infant models like nvr got that I mean so unless your in a big city basically excludes you from the most desirable releases.
we def need Nike ID ATLEAST !
The duties/customs are gonna be brutal lol.
I like my current method of shipping to my spot in NYC and scooping it up when I show up so I have gear to rock right away
