The hype disappeared because these shoes are actually awful. Knit is way too think, and the midsole feels terrible. Returned after 10 minutes.

Yeah the underfoot feel is nothing special but the knit is nice and cozy at least on the 2's...

There's a big quality difference between the 123s and 4s- I sent my 4s back because of comfort and styling, but got some 01s which I really like. The midsoles are massively different.

01, 02, and 03 all have the “ZOOM X FOAM” insoles that make them super bouncy and comfortable.....

obviously the 04’s do not and why they are more available and cheaper.

I actually like my 01 in wheat. (don’t know why they are called wheat tho...) Yeah, the sole is pretty springy, but comfortable for me. The only regret I’ve got for this one is..., paying retail.

I'd say the consensus would be "don't expect the same cushioning on the 04 as the other ones". I still like the 04 though.
