Agreed. I went TTS on all my pairs (SA's included).

I also believe that the broken zippers and difficulty with putting on and taking off the shoes is mainly due to people sizing down.

Went TTS on my pairs except fog 101s, which are a whole size down.

Have no problem getting my feet in and out, the zippers do feel flimsy though. Just my opinion.

i wanna say it'd be at least 8-10 years before crumbling happened? but...depends on humidity and whatever the midsole is made out of...thise is based on my experience with air maxes of mine that have crumbled after 8-13 years.
