Yes, we built the site up for 10 years and donated $100,000 to charity all so we could stick a few dozen of you for a $20 t-shirt. Man, was that worth it. I'd be laughing at you from the Cayman Islands right now if only the grand take from this scheme, a decade in the making, would cover so much as the airfare.
In seriousness, I think this has been sufficiently covered in the t-shirt thread. I was billed for my 16 shirts (yes, I pay for mine, too) last week myself. I'm hoping they'll arrive later this week. In the t-shirt thread you can see a video of the production process, which gives you a peek at the final product. Prior to this year, the most shirts we ever released at one time was two designs - both in the same base color (black.) Whenever you increase complexity you're increasing the odds for an issue to arise and, in this case, we encountered an unanticipated delay from a supplier. We tried to make it clear up front that this was a PRE-order offering. If you put $X down to pre-order a video game and it's delayed, generally people don't go banging down the developer or publisher's door for an explanation, throwing around fraud allegations. While regrettable, the possibility of unanticipated delays comes with the territory.
I appreciate everyone's patience throughout the process. Pre-ordering isn't the ideal way to go, but I don't think people realize just how time consuming it can be to package and ship every order. Guys like Rajah and Steez are tremendously busy. If we didn't do something like this, which would allow us to ship ALL orders at once, honestly I'm not sure we'd be able to release any apparel products at all. Although I wish we could've been a bit more timely with updates and the like, I appreciate all of the hard work and sacrifice Rajah and Steez put into these shirts and I've no doubt that the end result will be well worth the wait. Hopefully you'll feel the same way once your orders arrive. It shouldn't be much longer now.
