OG Splatoon is still better than 2 and 3

I don't know, man... The first game was fun, but Nintendo had to remove certain mode/stage combos in the rotation for Ranked because of how bad some of the level design were. You literally had a disadvantage on Saltspray Rig depending on what side of the map you were on.

So after today I won't be able to redownload Wind Waker HD?

Last year when Wii U/3DS eShop purchases shut down, Nintendo said we'll still be able to redownload games "for the foreseeable future," but who knows how long that will last.

Thanks homie. I have one of those satisfye jawnz that I use for my OLED and there are rubber grips on the back but it still leaves some small markings on the back plate, not a big deal and super noticeable though.

There are “shelves” that the switch slides on to so it doesn’t actually make contact with the back of the controller. Looks a little goofy with the original switch but will look much better with the oled. I’m just glad I’ve got no drift to worry about now.

So... I'm making the loft set-up my official Nintendo set-up! I am moving my Series X to the bedroom and putting my Switch in its place, to go along with the Wii U, SNES Mini, and PC. Might put my OG Wii in for display purposes... but my AVR doesnt accept 480p via component unfortunately. Probably wont bother c9nnecting my GC since I no longer have a component cable and Im sure it will look like *** with composite.

Anyway I found this wall art today for $20 @ Ross so I copped it, but its probably too big to put over the TV...

Anything less than 1080p and I might have to consider skipping it. I’ll just have to borrow my brother’s Switch 2 when the inevitable Super Mario drops.

I'm all in on whatever Nintendo throws at us. I have full faith that whatever new mario game they come out with will be fire.

I really hope we get ports of wooly world, mario galaxy 2 and new super mario bros wii before we move on to the switch 2...

Anyone still rocking an OG launch day Switch? I think my Joycon is finally at the point of no return with stick drift. Surprised it lasted me this long .

Has anyone played Chants of Senaar? That's next on my list followed by Animal Well. My Switch comes in clutch during the summer months while I'm traveling for work. GOAT console.

I'm still on my 2018 model. Joy cons are decent, but drifting is definitely there on the right-con.

I haven't played either of those, but the pixel art looks fantastic on both. Right up my alley.

As for Switch 2 talk, I was going to watch all these videos discussing the "potential" tech, but then I realized where I went wrong was fantasizing what games could come to the Switch. At the end of the day, potential does not equal games. I'll just wait to see what's announced and play those when they come.

Man it's either you haven't been using your joycons enough or you have an anomaly. We swapped out OG switch and joycons after 2 years for the Oled version when it was having some issues with the card reader and drift. Years after the OLED launch and we haven't replaced anything so far.

Yeah it's probably a mix of good luck and that I have two other controllers that I rotate. I replaced the shells on the Joycons too, but I don't think that would've helped because I didn't touch the internals. I also wasn't afraid to try DIY "hacks" to fix the drift (mostly just applying tons of pressure to the stick) because I knew it was only going to get worse.

But the funny thing is, I had to replace the left-sticks on both of my other controllers because they were so worn out . I never had any other issues with the Switch itself though. SD slot, battery, screen, etc are still chugging along fine.

Decided to play Animal Well first and I highly recommend. I'm not done yet (maybe like 10hr in?) but it's really good. Non linear puzzle based Metroidvania. No combat. Really unique power ups.
