why?
Because nnamdi and moss had the exact same situation in oakland, #%@%%* supporting cast, but their individual talent is astronomical.
One made/is making the best of the situation while the other couldn't handle it and bailed on his team.
If nnamdi was playing with a team that had a half decent supporting cast (ie a %+#+!** safety) I guarantee nnamdi would have shut down that bum $%! mossy%+!$#.

you're talking about two different things. nnamdi a better team guy? sure...i can respect a dude who plays his heart out in a garbagesituation. that fact that moss quit on the pats for a bit once brady went down irks me a bit. so i'll give you that, nnamdi is the better team guy. but idon't think you can come out and say this CB > WR. apples and oranges. and even if you wanted to say that, the bottom line is that in their one matchupwhere they lined up against each other, moss won the battle.

Asomugha is hands down the best cornerback in the league. We only play man to man in Oakland with our corners.
As far as Moss, he had a good day against Asomugha...he's really the only one to do so, but I'm not mad at that. It's Randy Moss.
He's a great and extremely talented WR. Doesn't take away from Asomugha though. I honestly don't even know why I'm arguing this.
It comes up every year.
I'll ask you this DeadsetAce...who are you taking over Asomugha? Zant? Springs? Champ?

2 different things that are interrelated.
-Nnamdi is a better team guy who he was willing AND ABLE to compete at a high level when the odds were against him.
On the other hand, randy mossy vagina wasn't willing nor was he able to compete at a high level when the odds were stacked against him. overcomingadversity when necessary is a vital aspect of being a great athlete.

don't get me wrong, im not trying to say dude is a bum. im just saying, i wouldn't exactly call it a hands down case closed deal thathe's numero uno.
as far as the guys you listed...i watched zant the most since he was on the pats for a while. he's not so much a great cover corner as he is a smart one,or an opportunistic one. in a zone defense...dude is usually in the right place at the right time. but one on one...not so great. the pats played a lot of zonedefense which is where he shined. springs is a bit old now, but im eager to see what he can do. i think champ is solid, but he's getting up there in yearsnow too.

i think it has more to do with moss being a diva than a sub par athlete, compared to nnamdi. it wasn't that he couldn't...he chose not to because therewas no point in his eyes. and im not saying that's right, it's a !!$@$ move on his part, no doubt. athletically speaking, they're both two amazingathletes, but i don't think you can really say one is greater than the other since they play two different positions and are both considered elite at theirrespective positions. is one a greater competitor? sure. does one have more heart? sure.

I'm seriously trying to be objective as possible. My Top 5 corners go...
1. Asomugha
2. Mathis
3. Zant
4. Champ
5. Harris
I just don't know who you take over Asomugha if you're looking for a corner. MAYBE Zant because he can get TO's, but you give up the coverageaspect.

Champ is not a bad choice at all, of course. But I think Nnamdi's been the best in the league for a while now.
