good luck man. 3 years isn't that long though so you should "physically" have no problems quitting. but it's more of a mental challengethough. i was able to quit 10 months ago and i don't think i'd ever have another cig ever. definately not impossible, it's just gonna be about howbadly you want to stop.

3 years and your coughing? getting sore throats? on the verge of cancer? wat'd you smoke a pack everyday for 3 years?

quit tho .. it isn't good

ever seen them ashtrays outside that get filled up with water when it rains ? and the water turns black from the cigarettes? .. those are your lungs

i was being sarcastic. but i do have bad breathing patterns to the point where i cant play more than 3 games of basketball.

i was able to quit... since ive started goin to the gym, i felt i didnt need cigarettes anymore and now i have plenty of energy, & stamina

I know this lady that smoked for like 20 years and one day just stopped. She hasn't smoked in 6-8 months. She made it look easy.
Like stated before when you really want to stop, you will. Forgot a patch or gum your just wasting money.

Btw I am about to go hit a jack.

pick up another addiction. it usually takes 21 days to get rid of an addiction.

You are weak minded, dont ask nt to help. You listed reasons why you should stop. Take a deep breath, look at your self in the mirror and say im gonna Quitthis time and stick to it. My father smoked for 30+ years even though my grand father RIP.. died from lung cancer. One day my dad woke up in the middle of thenight coughing like crazy and couldnt breath. That was the last day my dad smoked a cig. cold turkey going on 4 years now.

yo i got asthma and i od with the marijuana...i dont think its the marijuana that +%%$$* me up but the swishers....yes i admit that i was and im leaving theaddiction behind...getting back in the gym running feels great....but if its ganja your smoking try brownies or a vaporizers....1 more thing handle yourbuisness even if you do smoke.

....that was that straw that broke the camel's back.. I'mdone.. I started smokin blacks, then quit those too..I think the blacks helped distract me.and "Truth" commercials l0l..but to each his own. No luckneeded. This is NIKEtalk. JUST DO IT!!!

i have asthma......a handful of attacks as a child up to like 10yo.....never felt any effects of asthma anymore!!!

started smoking everynow and then at 13,14 (tweed & blacks.....was sooooooo anti cigarette!).....then i started smoking on an everyday basis at 18 till now24...and i started to hit cigarettes around 21...before that it was just blacks

and yes, it does effect you....like every six months....ill get sick for a week where i need an inhaler, antibiotics, mabey a breathing treatment, and my lungswill finally break down all of the marijauna and cig tar and ill cough up aprox 2 full water bottles of thick mucus..
sick.gif
...now i dont smoke for that week, and i say to myself..."imdone"...but ive been through this about 3 years straight! and as soon as my lungs get stronger after that week is up....im right back at it!
eyes.gif
.....ive had walking pneumonia, and pneumediastinum (air leakage / rip in yourlung) from smoking...

i look at it as if im payin my taxes to my asthma..

It really shouldn't be that difficult. Is it really that hard to just tell yourself no. I mean seriously.

Damn, those should be enough reason/motivation to quit, especially the latter.
