Can anyone recommend some basketball shoes that aren't made of leather? I have a fair amount of shoes, but they're pretty much all at least partly madeof leather. Also, is there anyway to tell what material shoes are made of? I mean it doesn't say on the box, and I don't really know about muchmaterials. So if anyone could help, that would be much appreciated.

the only other option would be a synthetic patent material or maybe a synthetic suede.

out of curiosity, why are you looking for non-leather basketball shoes?

Pretty much any Nike shoe. Nike's too cheap to put leather on their shoes. Hence the 160$ flywire and maxair Bron abomination But outside of making fun ofNike - I grabbed some Jack Purcells from Converse and love them. Sleeker and better looking that Chucks, better made, more comfy. Canvas and Rubber, youcan't go wrong.

My problem though is I don't really know how to tell the difference. Like if I were to go to an outlet right now, i wouldn't know how totell if it's made of real suede, or synthetic.

btw I'm not like a PETA sociopath or anything. I just find it kind of hypocritical of myself to let my love of sneaker get in the way of my ownconvictions.

I'm looking for a shoe that is sort of high performance though. I mean, there are plenty of casual shoes like those, or vans, or plimsolls, etc. For basketball I've been alternated my lebron IV's and my retro 5's for a while now. So, I'm looking for something that can offer the samequality and performance but that is built from man made materials.

^My bad, I didn't read the question thoroughly enough!

AZK3 Doesn't have any leather and it's a performance monster, same with the AZK 4. I can't speak for the Bron VII personally but I don't thinkit has any animal products and supposedly is a good big man shoe.

Hyperdunks offer very little to no leather at all, even Synthetic leather.
You just have to find the right pair that offers the synthetic suede and what not.

LeBron VIIs aren't bad either, Flywire mid upper, patent leather on the toe area, basically no leather at all.

if you read product descriptions, generally if the shoe uses real leather then it will say so. if not, then often times the shoes use a synthetic.

Thanks for the responses everyone. I'm loving the azk3. I mean it looks greats, and from what I've read preforms amazing. But can anyone confirm thatit's made from only man made materials? Should I email nike or something?
