Normcore only works as a "im so ahead im bout to lap you twice" as da theory i see.

like someone who can afford anything and everything is outfitted in da most suburban mediocre threads imaginable to look as inconspicuous as possible...dad hats swag golf caps, wrangler jeans, air monarchs.

doesn't work for folks not in on da irony..

This is why i prefer luxury cars with no rims or after market parts. **** is tacky. 

Same with loud logos and colors on clothing/shoes.

think about da late 70's-early 80's..da hiphop genesis was born outta da crippling urban decay and poverty from da period...

graffiti and DJ block parties was spawned outta decaying infrastructure & improvisation of music outta vinyl instead of actual instruments.

nah not like before....i remember lowkey girls used to snap on other girls for walking outside with nothing but a baby tee and leggings on cuz it was considered tacky and cheap (even though guys loved it) so they went away for da whole 90's until da economy floor bottomed out.

now its considered chic when it wasn't before.

fast Fashion wouldn't exist if da economy was poppin, normcore either... things like golf hats & snapbacks go away for a reason when fitteds are introduced...its called quality.

sneakers feel da heat too, its not an individual sneaker as apposed to da entire sneaker landscape.

if da sneaker world was divided into 3 tiers (hypebeast elite, hood classics, & value priced) all da hood classics (pennys, barkleys, chris webbers, pippens, agassi, vicks, carnivores, etc) have all sat during this molasses we call an economy, meanwhile all da hypebeast ultra limited **** flies and da bargain **** chugs along I.E. Monarchs, new balance 574, Reebok classics, etc.

when da economy hit da toilet, only hypebeast **** sells out now, before when everyone had money things would move more evenly along all spectrums, you think a OG color Chris Webber would be sitting da way they are now had cats had jobs? nah.

you couldn't participate in da OG jersey era without dropping at least 150+

90% of da dad hats folk rockin cost 15-$20 bucks,

jordans never get played out so droppin w/e on a OG color model from da sig line is a solid purchase cuz worst comes to worst you can always bump em off and get almost retail back.
