Put me on car exaust. Me and my pops was chopping it up and was talking about cars and wanna mess with the exaust a lil. I consider myself a lil knowledgeable when it comes to cars but this is one area I am lost on. I aint eem gon lie I jus kinda want my **** to growl. The guy that I bought from said he did something but it only growls a lil when I accelerate. I was watching youtube clips of guys staying their cars n they sound like thunder. My pops has a 2010 chrysler 300 s da hemi and I have a 07,pontiac grand prix gxp. I kno dudes don't rock wit da american but hey we love em. Help ya boy out bruhs...

4 inch piping all the way to the back. No mufflers.

You're welcome.

OK... as far as mufflers if you want very deep and loud, go with any kind of glasspack. IMO Thrush brand Glasspacks sound the best but they rust out fast. CherryBomb brand Glasspacks dont sound quite as mean IMO but they're powder coated so they'll last a very long time.

If you want something a little more reserved at idle that still roars when you open it up I suggest DynoMax Super Turbos. IMO these sound particularly good with a 5.3 IMO :nthat:

Ive never been a fan of magnaflow or flowmaster... to much reverb and pop :x :x

Borla has a nice sound but most of their products are probably too "mellow" for what your looking for.

Corsa makes amazing full systems but they're rather expensive and usually tuned for a higher pitch "import" sound

In addition to your muffler you will probably want to replace your pipes with wider pipes. I dont know the specifics of your car so you'll want to talk to whoever is doing your install. But Im guessing your pipes are 2 1/4-2 1/2 inches stock, replacing them with a 3 inch pipe will give you a much more robust sound.

Finally... Play around with air intakes. Contrary to popular belief short ram air intakes dont really increase power much if at all, but they can do alot for the sound of your car especially when combined with a modified exhaust.

Heres what you an expect your car to sound like with

Straight pipes :

Magnaflow :x :smh: way too much crackle and pop

Dynomax (bullet) I prefer the quieter "super turbo" style

Flowmaster

Im kinda lost. I want roar but not sloppy crackle sounding ish. My bro said it sounds good how it is but when idle it doesn't really do it for me. The cold air filter n everything was installed by previous owner

Is it a way I can get it like the burgundy imp but pipes straight to the back? I ain't really feeling the side joints

For the Pontiac I would go with Magnaflow

The 300, I would get some headers (JBA shorties if he has a 5.7 but if he has a SRT, then Kooks LT Headers) and a SLP catback exhaust.

Headers, 4 inch pipes all the way, gut the cats and res, i would run no muffs if your looking to be LOUD! if you want a nice tone and growl roll with flowmaster super 44, do not do glasspacks they sound way to raspy and have no tone or growl. i have a Lincoln Mark VIII with the 4.6 DOHC (basically cobra motor) 3.5 inch pipe all the way full length headers no cats or muffs, sounds AMAZING!!!! Btw don't go cheap on the headers, the headers will make a very big difference in flow, therefore more horsepower and a deeper growl under WOT

Any videos of the lincoln?

I have a SRT8 Charger and I'm looking at going with the Corsa Sport as soon as they drop it for my 6.4. They have the Xtreme out for the Super Bee but the Xtreme is a little too loud and raspy for my liking. The only reason I'm going with Corsa is because I basically want zero drone while I'm cruising.

BTW what do you guys think of Billy Boat exhausts? They look and sound AMAZING but I've heard people say they rust fairly quickly and produce alot of cabin drone.

- Preciate it.

I got Cherry bombs on my 07 Monte SS and it sounds

Corsa is great for no drone. But I like LOUD and the drone doesnt bother me. My gf, well thats another story but its my car so her opinion doesnt matter. lol

Billy Boat exhaust sound GREAT but the welds crack. And I have even seen the tips crack as well. Whats good now though is that they now have a location in the US (Arizona). So if you do have any issues with them, no more shipping the exhaust to Australia. lol

But they do sound amazing.

Are you going to get headers bro?

I have pypes off road xpipes and pypes mid-mufflers catback system on my two mustang GT's....

I recommend a Magnaflow(wideopen) catback system for you,I would go with a midpipe for your car as well.. I don't kno if Mopars come with x or h pipes but midepipes+catbacks will give your car good performance gains and a great sound also..
