Since the new cigarette tax takes place today, how is it gonna affect your habits? Are most of you gonna cut back, quit, buy cartons...etc.?

As for me, I'm leaning towards quitting. Seven bucks a pack here in CA is wayyyy too expensive.

its good that I've stopped smoking since January, 3 months already and no cravings, just did it cold turkey, no patches or gradual quitting, more of will iguess, anyway my food craving went skyrocketing though

good looks man... I quit for almost a day, a couple days ago... man I swear something was wrong with me when I ate a whole large pepperoni frompapa johns in one sitting (btw I'm only 5'6 140pounds). I had to start back because my chest started hurting...so I knew I had to have a cig and thatmade it go away. I'm gonna try again after this pack... this should be fun.

thanks! i'm actually surprised at myself how easy i stopped considering i used to smoke at least 10 cigs/ day. i'm with you when i wake upnow i usually look for something to eat and i have never eaten breakfast since i was in HS way way back. i probably gained 5-10 lbs but i still feel muchbetter considering its still better to be overweight that be a chain smoker

Soo ive been smoking only on the weekends and now I feel like im addicted. been feeling off, irritated, and down since sunday. I thought keeping it to fridays and saturdays wouldnt get me addicted. how long is this withdrawal supposed to last?

a while. probably a few months. I did skip weekends where i didnt smoke at all though

Probably won't be that bad then. I smoked from when I was 16-22, quit cold turkey, and only the withdrawals during the first couple weeks were pretty crappy.
