Yeah sometimes, but only if the course work was updated which most of the time it's not. If you have an iPad or tablet you can download most textbooks online.
9 times out of 10 edition doesn't matter. The authors only change a few sentences to keep up with the publishers greed.
You can literally google " *Name of Textbook* *Publisher* pdf " I don't do torrents. Didn't pay for any books in UG after my 2nd year, I haven't tried looking for Masters books.
pretty much every major college course I took had those bull @!#@ $80-100 online homework things. As if charging $200 for a book wasn't taking advantage of me enough. Don't miss college at all other than the social life.man, my school made all the homeworks online with a code that cost like $80 with a brand new textbook added in if you pay like $95
I'd say pdf is the way to go but some people just prefer the feel of a hard copy of the book. The only downside of pdf is that if it''s a new edition then it's much harder to find it.
Another thing you can do is if your school library has the textbook, then borrow it and then just scan the sections you need. Of course that will take a while if you're doing the whole book.
