I still do, only because they're not hurting me. I've heard that you could die if they aren't taken out, due to an infection. Wouldn't thathurt though? I mean, you'd know you'd have an infection because it should hurt right? I don't really want to get them out if I don't havetoo...

yea i still have mine also, they don't hurt.
i know i gotta get them pulled soon tho.

I have all of mine. They keep telling me mine are the farthest back they've ever seen and I need urgently to get them out but I think that's becausethey are going to charge 2,000$ for it. They don't bother me other than sometimes biting my tongue and the back of my mouth.

And yea if you get infected, I assume you would feel it first and could then act.

You don't always feel pain with infections, just fyi.

I still have mine, but I was told I need them to be taken out. Why it's so expensive is beyond me. I'm thinking of doing a medical study and havingthem take them out AND pay me at the same time

.

Not all infections hurt. Sometimes they just smell really disgusting and give you doo doo breath.
Take 'em out if you can. Leave them there if you're not worried about it but pray they don't absess.

crazy seein this thread. I just went to the dentist today for a cleaning, and i got an x-ray to see whats good with my wisdom teeth. One came in fine, and Ihave no others that are every coming, so i guess i got lucky with 1/4. Only thing is that the 1 wisdom tooth dosnt' have another tooth on my bottom jaw tobite down on so i'm gonna eventually have to get it taken out cause it will keep dropping down until it hits my lower gun and will hurt.

I should go to the dentist just to have these puppies checked out.

i got mine taken out a couple of months ago. better to get them out sooner rather than later

Yeah I still have mine. I was suppose to get 'em out a year ago. I think I'm gonna due it after the semester is over.

I asked my dentist about mine last time i was there and he said mine came in really nice and i wouldn't have to get them pulled out. He said you only haveto get them pulled out if they hurt but mine have never hurt. My mom has never had hers pulled and she is in her mid 50's with no problems.

nnarum, i had mine taken out this past summer due to a "recommendation" from my dentist. i asked her 'i heard it's not necessary to get themtaken out (as long as they grown in properly and aligned with the rest of your teeth) and that you jsut get them checked up every year to make sure there'sno infection'....she gave me the run around saying there is a chance of infection and basically said do it because a) you're young (21) and b)you're covered through insurance

so i complied because of those points and i don't wanna risk ahving something serious happen and requrie major surgery if an infection did occur

my reccomendation: if you're young and are covered, i recommend doing it

i had 5 taken out, none grew in (never were going to either)....i recovered pretty quickly

if you have questions regarding this, feel free to PM me or ask here

Mine haven't come in yet, but when they do they will be sideways. Yeah, they're gonna be removed. I think I'm going to have to have surgery.

my are growing in now I still have to goto the dentist to have them checked out. They were hurting me for like two weeks then it stopped. Btw its the two topones.

still got mine, the 2 top ones, that is. my dentist suggested i take them out, but they're not bothering me.

I think mine grew in around 2003. I remember them just hurting out of nowhere. They haven't bothered me again since that time

i got all 4 wisdom teeth...they all grew in straight because i had braces before and made space for em to grow in so no removal for me

Nope. It's best to get them taken out early before the bone structure has a chance to develop.

My dentist said that mine were all coming in straight and there is no need to remove them. He said that a few years ago and now I'm 23 and recently had myteeth cleaned and x-rayed and they are looking just fine.
