NT Doctors? Ear problem

^ what do you mean what?

Q-tips aren't meant to be used for cleaning in your ears. Speak to any doctor and they'll tell you not to use them - like I said all you're doing is jamming stuff further in there.

Clearly I meant nothing smaller than your elbow should go in your ear - heard that from a ENT a few years ago.

Like someone else said your ears are basically self cleaning and will sort themselves out - but if you insist on jamming things in there you're going to get wax buildup. I'm definitely suspicious that my in ear headphones contribute a lot to that - I use mine every day now and I'm definitely having more wax problems.

im at work and, i was messing around and put the tip of a paper clip (not even deep) but a whole lot of wax came out (pea size). it relieved it a little. but just went to walgreens and got debrox. anyone used this before?

got me all paranoid last night.

THIS^^^^

I had this problem too, my doctor recommended me this.

My dumbass tried getting it out with a q tip first, which made it worse... You can use the drops for like 3 days to like soften it or something and use the washer to flush that ***** out.

You gotta stick that washer all the way into your ear canal to work btw

took me awhile to figure this out....

EDIT: it cost like 5 bucks at walmart

Q-tips are meant for cleaning around the ear and just around the entrance of the canal, not inside. I did and the wax ended up getting impacted deeper inside and I had muffled hearing/slight ringing for like 2 months or so. Ended up going to an ENT doctor and he took it out, but yeah, be careful with that. Idk why my ear is producing more wax lately, didn't notice literally any ear wax at all in high school and before then.

Don't stick anything in your ear, not even a seemingly harmless q-tip. My sister stuck one in her ear when she was younger and the cotton tip got stuck. My brother had to pull it out with tweezer. Thank goodness he didn't do any damage to her eardrum.

Anyways, before i got ears molds for my custom monitors, I went to the ENT because there was so much wax build up.

They have this cool little machine that just suctions it up. No more of the ghetto syringing to irrigate the ear.

The syringe feels tons better, but the machine got every little bit of wax out. I have to get the procedure done every six months or so because my earwax doesn't purge itself naturally.

Spiderwoman... for real!

Horrifying pics show spider living in woman’s ear before doctors dislodged it. Photos show the spider in horrifying close-up before it was removed.

The woman went to Changsha Central complaining – understandably – of an itch in her left ear. Doctors determined that the spider had likely been living in the woman’s ear canal for up to five days. They believe it got into her house as it was being renovated. They flooded her ear with saline in hopes of dislodging it without causing it to bite her or burrow in deeper. The plan worked and she reportedly wept with gratitude.

8o headphones when I go to sleep tonight

used the debrox yesterday when i got home and definitely enjoyed that tingling sensation. didnt see any results but did felt it loosening up the wax. as i woke up and had a little piece of wax just fall out of my ear by itself. did a few more drops. after tilting my head, i used that little syringe ball to rinse it out (took me a minute to get the hang of it). right as the force of the water inside my ear, i could see brown chunks in the sink. feels goodman, hearing is getting a little better. hopefully, it continues to work.

before you make appointment to get flushed lie down on your side and fill your ear with Hydrogen Peroxide

i think i understand what you want.

you can use q-tip to clean the outside but dont actually go into the canal.

i might give it a try
