NT doesn't feel right.

This might be helpful for some (C&P from a post I made in another thread):

Once you play around with your account settings, the site becomes much more tolerable and reminiscent of the old ezboard/Yuku layout.

I have the ISS-like homepage carousel removed, unchecked "remove nested quotes in replies" so I could see everything quoted, checked "view forums in full width", checked "show absolute timestamps in post headers", checked "compact thread list page", unchecked "notify me by email when another user messages me". Those who don't care to see other people's Buy/Sell listings in their sigs can also check "Hide 'My Stuff' in signatures". Make sure you save any changes or else it won't apply. Clear your internet browser's cache/cookies if you can't see the changes right away.

I also changed editor type to Rich Text since that's what we're used to from the old format.

Method Man said in another thread that eventually Huddler will put out different skins for the board and one will be OG with the black/red layout we're used to.

3 things I would change if I could would be signatures (big downgrade

), having 20-25 posts/threads per page like we've always had on ezboard/Yuku, and removing the stupid "Who's Online" feature on the home page. It's one thing to tell us who is currently browsing the site but do we really need to know what thread each person viewed last? You don't even need to be a member of the site to have access to that feature.

Ultimate creep tool that isn't useful at all.

As of right now, this is how I view the board:

You can do it but it takes a few more steps. Go to the search bar, click on advanced search. Type in whatever name you're looking for in "KEYWORDS" section. Change NARROW RESULTS --> Posts Only. Change Sort results by ----> Update / Posting Date. Make any additional search changes to your liking and click SEARCH. Done.

It might just be me, but I find myself not on NT as much as I was before on Yuku. I'm not sure if it's the layout or the change, but I find it hard for NT to hold my attention. The threads are different and I don't feel as engaged. The 50 thread topics per page is very difficult to look at. When I usually browse NT, I like to stay on page one, but now there is too much. As well, when reading threads, the 30 posts per page is throwing me off. When I'm reading the threads, it feels like the page doesn't end with so many replies. I believe 20 was the perfect cutoff number. Call me crazy, or just stuck in the past. Maybe I'm just too used to the old layout. I know, I know, "If you don't like it, go somewhere else. Deal with it. No one is asking you to stay here. Stop complaining." But I don't want to go anywhere else :(

I kinda agree, but the speed, and functionality of the new layout is pretty good. No one likes changes, but that's part of life and the positives will be seen soon.

Have the admins shared any page view or user #s on the new niketalk vs. yuku niketalk? Curious how comparable the #s are. Seems a little dead around here to be honest, which is surprising.

It's like back when nt moved to yuku you'll get used to it. I personally like the new nt.
