Many people consider their senior year of HS the best shape they've ever been in, due to youth, sports training, etc. Many people also consider freshman year of college the best chance to get fat

COLLEGE FRESHMEN: If I can give you one piece of advice, it's don't order pizza every night and go to the rec center at least a few times a week (ok that was two pieces of advice)
High school I came out at 5'10", 185 lbs. Was in good shape due to football training program.

Freshman year things started to get sloppy... got up to 200, was smoking

too much and ordering mad food like sandwiches and pizza... depleted my funds fast as hell and didn't touch a basketball all year. It didn't help that I began taking this anxiety med that causes over 40% of its users to gain up to 30 lbs

Soph and Junior year I shot up to 230 at my most

I sank into a depression and got even more into weed and weird stuff like mushrooms too...

Summer before senior year (summer of 2010) I went to the ER due to a drinking episode and decided to take better care of my body... long story short, I got on a good running habit and ate really well, managed to get down to 200.

I'm a senior right now and I'm at 5'11" 195... that's only 10 pounds more than high school, which isn't terrible. I still want to get back down to that, though. Life is too short to be overweight anytime, especially when you're young.

I know people I graduated with who actually look a LOT better than high school. Some skinny dudes filled out and got some muscle and are now pulling girls left and right. I guess girls mostly look worse since high school, besides the ones who play soccer

Has anyone on here actually stayed the exact same since HS? I'm not talking people that are college freshmen. Has anyone improved?

no. Not under any circumstances. I refuse to post pics of myself on here, much less before/after from 2006-2009

I could never post again. Maybe I would do high school and then now but it's only a 10 lb difference.

I always gain weight when I was in college and dropped weight whenever I came back home.

I ate better at home but I drank better when I was in college. Not to mention the late night munchies killed me. I was 165ish in high school, hovered around 190-200 in college and now I'm 170 since I've graduated in May. I'm actually in better shape now since I've put on more muscle compared to high school. I've been weight training, running, doing MMA, and doing yoga to get my body right. Still looking to trim down and get right when it's warmer.

I'm luckily almost still the same weight as my senior year and currently a freshman in college, and due to the last thread of the people drastically changing in their first year of college, I registered for a weight training class for this upcoming semester. Meaning, I have my last winter break to hibernate.
laugh.gif
Because I'm sure as hell gonna lose weight, and not to mention it being my new years resolution too.

Thanks NT with the slap to reality, and getting more motivated to lose weight.

Damn bro. I'm going to college next fall but I'm scared of becoming fat. Taking notes of freshman behavior

I gained 20 pounds after I graduated high school and was still very skinny from 160 to 180 at 6'3. I'm still at the same weight now just a little more cut up. I want to gain like 20 more pounds, but the weight just doesn't stick.

I gained 20 pounds over my first two years in college, then I lost 10. So overall, net gain of 10. But I needed it, i was fairly skinny back in high school.

Dog seriously learn from my mistakes. Go to that damn rec center that you can probably work out in for free with your student ID. Play some pick-up, run on the track, lift weights, etc... just do yourself the favor, plus there's usually nice-looking girls in some spandex going to yoga class or using the elliptical
