Aight so my boy had a party at his house last night and everything was cool until the cops rolled by and told us to turn down the music, so we did. The dj stopped playing at 12am but at the same time the front neighbors were bumpin they're music and poping fireworks. So a couple hours pass and were chilling and the cops roll by again saying that we had this music bumpin all loud and the cop was assuming that we were the ones poping the fireworks. My boy ends up getting a citation for violation of anti-noise ordinance or something like that.
So is this something my boy can take to court to fight or should he just take the L?

fight it. if you are cool with the neighbors have them fess up. nothing will happen to them because the cops didnt tell them to turn down their music. win-win.
if not cool, find witnesses who can attest to the fact your neighbors were the ones who were being loud.
