Like, what do you do if they approach you about how babies are made or when it comes time to give it to them?
Are you gonna be real blunt about it?
"The birds and the bees?"
"When a mommy and daddy love each other real much, they..."???
Discuss.

i don't plan on having kids, but if i did hae to have this talk i would be sure to make sure that they don't get the impression that love = sex. the association between the two is one of the greatest disservices we can do in sex education and relationship 101. i would make sure to cover all aspects from an objective standpoint, emotionally, scientifically, and physically.

Give my son a pack of Trojans tell him what's going on

My daughter won't be leaving the house after she turns 13

Not my kid not my problem. In todays age everything is in your face. I learned about sex in the 6th grade when i had an argument about how my homeboy only had a mom and his mom gave birth to him alone

My son: Ima sit him down, share a beer with him (a la 1st vacation movie) and be like "Son dont have kids early. If you have kids early, you gotta pay child support OD. You dont pay support, you go to jail. You go to jail, you get butt raped."

No early grand children

I know you're not being entirely serious, but part of the problem of sex education is the taboo and stigmatism placed with being sexually active. Embracing such urges while teaching responsibility would be a much better option. I liken the situation much to that of alcohol education and it's role in society in the US compared to counties like Spain and France. Shielding your child from the inevitable will only serve to bite you (and your child) in the end.

The way kids are popping them out. Im gonna have a conversation on contraception and std's. Not to scare them, but to show them that being safe and watch who you lay up with is important. Kids are becoming more rebellious and are subject to peer pressure. If I teach them how and why protection is important then they should be fine. I want my children to be open with me so I will let them know that I'm there to help them.

Gradually like my mom.
First she just told me babies came from the womb below the mommy's stomach.
When I eventually asked how it got there she just told me the dad either gives the mom a x or y chromosome to the mommy's x chromosome.
By 4th grade I already had health class that explained the rest.

I think my approach would be to keep it very to-the-point.  I would describe the sexual act, some of the motivations and risks surrounding it, and what is or inappropriate about it (in my opinon).  The more my kids know, the better they will be prepared to deal with eventualities... At least that is my hope.
